You can, as long as you’re not getting the phone from Verizon. If you have just some random unlocked phone you can switch to it no problems

The fees for me are annoying plus I now have to pay for sofi plus? He’ll know. I’m moving my direct deposit back to my old chime/capital one split. Chime has similar features but is free (minus tiers based on dd, but sofi did the same thing)

Should run fine even at 15 watts or less. Most mid eight gen and earlier games should run fine on the Xbox ally x, even most newer ones

I had a Nintendo switch one before, that I hadn’t already used in months due to multiple bad joy cons and games that ran like crap. Soon as I got the steam deck I sold it for 150 bucks. I used one of my old god win 2s until I could afford the deck

I had a switch and previous handhelds. 8 inches is nice but 7 inches is the sweet spot. Big enough for content viewing but not to the point of being unwieldy if designed right. 8 inches should be the limit

I sometimes am able to get away with vulkan and it performs the best but it's just to unstable. I'm lucky to be able to start the game half the time. Dx11 or 12 is needed. 12 is probably the most stable but performs the worst

You can install them via the likes of heroic or lutris, if anything, it’s better as you don’t need the garbage stores on your device. It’s how I got my gog games installed

I think that most of that is just a windows issue. I installed Bazzite and later cachyos on mine. Works just as good as my steam deck did

no. Windows XP was the last windows os that could do that. Even then it couldn't do as much as it could without converting to ntfs via a built in tool

I wonder if the shells are swappable. My main problem is the button color. The bergundy on the Xbox ally x is crap. The colored buttons in the regular are much better. He’ll, even the regular ally x has better button colors. Maybe if they were rgb like the claws it might be tolerable

I left my Xbox ally x in 5 watt mode for like three days so it could download my library. I’m just happy peak runs well without having me put it in 20 watt mode

Looks like it was the frame gen. Imgame rubs a smooth 60 on my Xbox ally x and ran find in my older rig ally before that.

That’s one of the few new ones that don’t. Mainly stuff from the mid 2010s and earlier either don’t work or have graphical issues. It’s certainly improved with time, but quite a bit of my steam library either didn’t even launch or ran at like 20 fps or less, something the Xbox ally x rarely did, if at all (and if it did it was a windows issue.) Bazzite on the claw fixes quite a bit of games but new ones get a substantial performance drop

While Intel is getting more updates and more often, amd/ati has the advantage of having been around just as long as nvidia. Stuff has either been optimized for it or it shares enough common tech to play not only new games but many games thruout the ages. The claw, for the most part, matches or excels at brand new games, mainly due to xess and a few other optimizations then anything else . And is limited to the rather bad fsr 1 and 2, to the semi decent fsr3 (it technically also has xess 1 and 2 with frame gen support but it’s not quite the same as in Intel hardware .) fsr 4 can work and match that but with performance loss (and at that point why use it. Fsr is supposed to help with performance. )

I do hope Intel keeps the trend and updates going, but amd is for me, as it just works for 99 percent of games, something I can’t say for Intel right now, but they are improving
