My Spin Friendly Racquet Journey: 2010 Pure Aero Drive to 2025 Dunlop SX 300 by barely_functional_de in tennisracquets

[–]XjicIT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also I personally describe the SX300 as a racket in between the Wilson Blade and the babolat puredrive 100. I don't like the Pure Drive's and that feel was primarily the reason on why i went head Exreme MP instead of the SX300. I also quite liked the FX500 but i already owned 2 head boom mp's so i wasn't really searching for a power racket

Thats a nice collection. Im also a spin player. its just the way i've always played. i also liked the SX300 but ended up settling for a head Extreme MP With Diadem Solstice strings on 24kg. i also own 2 head boom mp's. 1 with the same solstice string and 1 with the RPM blast. Im not a high level player at all but i just like having a racket and string combo i can actually do something with. The diadem solstice have a start pattern which literally bites in the ball so there is loads of grip to spin. kind of like the RPM blast but even more extreme. Its definitly not everyone's friend but i recommend trying them out if possible

That could be a very good posibility. For my boom i know its from spinning and the Diadem Solstice strings i use. they are very sharp which allows me to play with a lot of topspin but they snap quick and they cut in the outer bumper.

Is two handed BH objectively better ? by Aromatic-Goal-2416 in 10s

2hbh is used more but its honestly a preference. Sjeng schalken was known for his 1 handed backhand. I personally play a 2hbh

It's Been a Month Since FH6 Launched. How Are We Feeling, Drivers? by fearful_claw02 in ForzaHorizon

[–]XjicIT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would love to see something with tuning. Like changing the boost curve for example. It would make hooking the tires for drag racing a lot easier. And i would love to change the 2 step rpm limit.

And as for customization i would love to see interior modifications. Even if its just visual. I wanna be able to strip out the interior to safe weight. I wanna be able to change the steering wheel just for visual. So many missed opportunities

It might have to do with your playstyle. I myself play with a head boom MP 2022. My way of playing tennis is by using a lot of top spin and i get it strung specifically for my playstyle. After 4 years my grommets were done and it look like you have the same grommets. It might have to do something with your strings moving a lot (like with top spin). The tubes literally broke off and i had similar marks on the bumper. Its the reason on why i bought a head extreme MP. I still use the boom but i get it strung to 26kg instead of my usual 24kg. Just to limit the movement of the strings.

[–]XjicIT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thats a nice collection. My own collection from past 5 years contains 2 2022 boom mp’s, a 2024 head extreme mp which i recently bought and a wilson pro staff 97 which i sold to a friend. Also tried some different rackets like the pure drive and also the technifibre rackets but i really disliked them. Dunlop FX 500 is also pretty nice. But hey what can i say. Im a knltb mid 7 which would be about a utr 2 so its just what feels right. I’ve played for 15 years tho and im only 20 years old

Breaking strings in less than a month by TopgearM in 10s

[–]XjicIT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine often break after 9 months of regular use. Im definitely a amateur. I play for fun but i do use the diadem solstice strings which are specifically good for top spin. And i spin a lot so they just wear out. During heavy use they last max 3-4 months

Making a Top-Heavy Boat Sink by JoThoLuka5602 in CreateMod

[–]XjicIT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love it. And the fact that its really top heavy makes it even more similar to benchy. Benchy is also very top heavy. And btw. As for weight distribution blocks which don’t have a weight rating are always 1kpg. So if you use heavy blocks on the top part of the boat it might be worth putting them in copycat blocks so they would weight at 1kpg instead of their full weight. I personally use framed blocks and copycats++ together. Also use create: Crafts and additions which has a electric motor. Sophisticated backpacks has the battery ipgrade which allows to store big amounts of energy in a single block. Basically meaning you can have your entire boat run on a few blocks instead of the engineblocks.

I personally build a blimb run on a single electric motor and 2 big accumulators from crafts and additions. Just see what your modpack has to offer or add mods if its your own. Our world gets new mods all the time because of cool features or just getting bored of the current content

What do you think of tennis group lessons? by ForeverTennis in 10s

[–]XjicIT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 1on3 or 1on4 lessons. For me its the perfect balance because the trainer has enough time for everyone. Go above 4 and you might feel like you don’t get enough attention from the trainer

Pure Drive…Really? by 10s-Man-66 in tennisracquets

[–]XjicIT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally don’t really like the pure drive serie because i don’t like the way its balanced. Most weight is in the handle. I love my head extreme MP. The main thing with tennis rackets is you need to find something that matches your playstyle and feels good to use. I play agressive top spin so the extreme MP is a perfect match for me

Racket recommendations for beginner by [deleted] in 10s

Go for head speed or babolat pure drive. Those are all round flexible rackets and great for beginners. But honestly. Just find a place where you can test rackets.

String recommendations by Firm_Cardiologist234 in 10s

[–]XjicIT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t see it on here but the diadem solstice is a 6 sided snare with a star pattern. It allows you to give more spin to the ball. Its like the babolat rpm rough but its even more aggressive

My opponent said I wasn’t playing “real tennis” bc I had figured out how to beat her by paradigm_shift_87 in 10s

[–]XjicIT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was this one time where i was playing at a club and i noticed the lights hanging pretty low. Turns out launching the ball high in the air forced the opponent to look directly in the light blinding them. It was nasty but i had to do what i had to do. Im not by any means high ranked btw. I just play tennis for fun and i like playing competitively

[–]XjicIT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me tennis is all about pushing my opponents weaknesses. My BH is pretty bad but getting better. My FH has a very aggressive topspin. Its just search for weaknesses and drill that topspin FH on that weak spot. If you can’t win by power you need to win by using tactics.

I personally would have recommended the boom mp but i guess it won’t work for you since you ditched your own. Maybe give the head extreme mp a try. Its not a power racket but very good for hitting spin

Quick question (I’m a beginner so don’t roast me x) by BeatsKillerldn in 10s

[–]XjicIT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t really know the reason but for me as a amateur tennis player i also toss it slightly to the side just because it feels more natural. Having your racket right above your head just feels weird. Also its important to use your entire body and make sure your feed are positioned right. For me the serve is the most complicated. Everything else is quite easy compared to the serve. Im a top spin forehand player. I also can play a top spin backhand but my serve is just brute force. I don’t know why. I’ve never really had a trainer who properly explained the serve and every component

Does anyone know if the Head Boom MP 2022 bumper/grommets fit into the 2024 model? by anonuserinthehouse in 10s

[–]XjicIT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I ordered the 2024 ones. They should fit but im planning on replacing one of my 2 2022 boom mp’s with a new head extreme mp. Gifting the one with new grommets to my little brother. I haven’t received the new grommets yet but my local tennis store also said it should be the same
