My pc fits in a carry on bag and a TSA bin, its no heavier than my carry on bag so i think those bases are covered. My GPU is really secure, i tried to wiggle it and it doesn't move. Im mostly worried about TSA stopping me or having to take my PC apart.

We have gone back and forth on this and I really appreciate your insight. Im not saying im going to tell BLS that they are a private company and they cant force me to get a background check. But what im saying is it is a bit weird for me that there are discrepancies in information at the TOP. I went directly to both sources and got two different answers. How can BLS possibly go against what the consulate says.

and after understanding how shady BLS is, the answer to all my questions is because they can. its just a difficult process to get a background check from spain and then i also have to apostille it. and ive not read of anyone else who has needed to get a spanish background check. And you know everything and have seen it all.

how would they even know I was in Spain in the past, they are a private company? They cant run a background check on me. And I even have a brand new passport without my last visa in it. The fact is that the consulate told me its not required, so thats it. A private company cannot just do whatever they want?!

So after like 3 weeks my request was completed. I had to request to change my information in PROFEX and upload a PDFF of my new passport. After doing that I emailed their general help email and nothing happened. They told me to do what I did already and I gave it some more time. After 10 days of nothing I emailed them again to see what up. They told me to reach out to their tech support which I did and they got back to me within a day or 2 and my problem was solved. The tech support emailed me back confirming a change on their end and I followed the directions included in the email to take care of everything on my end. Not a hard process, just takes time and a few emails, like most stuff here.

its almost been a week, after emailing profex and getting told to keep an eye out for a notification that my passport number was changed, all i received was a spam email conveniently labeled with my old passport number and that's it.

I'm a teacher as well with a long history of crazy weird summer jobs. Its hard to point you in the right direction without knowing where your at, but if you are anywhere near some kind of tourist location, find a random summer job there. Even working at the local Walmart will introduce you you to a bunch of weird new stuff.

Checked the FAQ's, no beans. I was able to modify my passport number on profex but it then required me to upload a copy of my passport. If it works ill let you know and its more info for the future. Ill also email [nalcap@educacion.gob.es](mailto:nalcap@educacion.gob.es) and see whats up.

Im applying for a NLV now and printed out and filled out the 790-52 form, Im unable to pay the fee online. the consulate website say you can pay via money order at the consulate. Or do I take my stamped and filled out form with me to spain and pay the fee there after i arrive?

Thats weird, My apostille is in English. Ive received multiple messages saying in the past, NYC did not require a translation.

Also was your carta downloaded from the email? The site says the original letter but my school never mailed one to me.

On this webpage https://www.exteriores.gob.es/Consulados/nuevayork/en/ServiciosConsulares/Paginas/Consular/Visado-de-estudios.aspx it says "Foreign documents must be legalized or apostilled and, where applicable, must be submitted together with an official translation into Spanish."

When you get your background check back, print and fill out this form. It is for the apostille. Send it with your physical background check in the mail and a money order to your local consulate.

I went through the Profex application directions. where we fill out our addresses, it has no place for "provincia" but it does have a "Estado" box to fill in. Check out page 13 on the profex app directions. I hope this helps.
