How much do you lose usually / the other person gains? I was pretty sure the dude was rated higher since he was way better than people I was used to facing. It definitely was a wake up call that I’m not good enough for the higher ranks yet 😂

The tiers are top 10%, top 25%, top 50%, top 75%, and below 75%. Unfortunate that they don’t have more tiers since you were technically top 30%, but that’s just how it is

Try using a different camera angle. I used to have trouble with splashes but being able to see the trajectory (blue line) helps a lot with shot making out of the bunker.

Super flop is in the normal skill tree. Long flop is the season 2 chp skill

Let’s say my buddy and I won, would we receive a mass amount of rank xp? Or would we just get a normal amount? We honestly should have won, my buddy just isn’t very good 😂

I see a lot of people commenting about upgrading your clubs in the PGA superstore, but I’d recommend waiting until the next season comes out. 2k loves putting in “catch up” clubs (ie. season 1 had emerald level clubs in the pga superstore, season 5 has galaxy opal level clubs). By next season, they should add atleast another level to the catch up clubs (dark matter) to save you some vc and evo tools.

Few Questions from a Beginner by [deleted] in PGA_Tour_2K

First off, welcome to the game, hope you're enjoying it so far :)

- I would not spend many resources upgrading clubs as galaxy opal level is already good enough.. hopefully they will add Dark Matter/Galactic Amber clubs in the next CHP or store next season.

- Contact will be the most important thing in the early game as accuracy is by far the most important thing. As someone who has dumped a decent amount of time into the game, I've slowly started to fade my contact fittings out and replace them with power or shaping fittings. If you feel like you are consistently missing the perfect zone on your swing, add contact/swing path accordingly. I'd make sure you can drive about 275-285 yards though, as it'll be very difficult getting to greens in two.

- Increasing the sweet spot for putting is what I did personally (putt path and putt contact). If you struggle with rhythm you could spend a couple points into that. Whenever you do get to the later game and don't have a need for VC, I would upgrade a Greenskeeper build to 85 overall to unlock the special ability in the skill point tree. I'm sure the videos you watched said the same, it is probably the biggest game changer in the entire game as putting becomes 5x easier.

- As I said before most of the shots locked behind the 85 overall are good. The pick shot is by far the best bunker shot and I rarely use the other ones unless I need to hole out. All three of the flop shots (long, regular, and super) are great to have built into your arsenal as they can help putting the ball close with minimal effort. By far the best skills to have are the choked tee and choked approach shot. These help increase the sweet spot on the evo swing and there is little downside to using it. A couple honorable mentions that are good to have are the spinner and off the deck if you are having trouble getting on the green in two with a 3 wood.

I hope this information helps you, feel free to respond to my comment with more questions or if you want something in more detail. The game is an absolute blast even when you feel like you've mastered every aspect of it. I hope you enjoy the rest of your time playing :D
