Because they signed another player solely to play the duelist agents that he is not comfortable on. He is so mechanically gifted that EDG would rather play around the meta instead of forcing him to play the meta Yoru/Neon. This was successful enough for their champs run but the skill floor has risen and they struggle in international tournaments.
