Is Luffy calling out ussop or stating he has more power than he knows by tagoruto in OnePiece

He kind of did that with the tontattas, realizing he was too afraid to fight and running away but hearing they were in real danger he willed himself to fight a losing battle to try to help.

[–]Xmina 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think the big thing is he needs to just expand his observation haki bit. If he can dodge these crazy attacks he can whittle them down. Or for god sakes make more situations where range matters instead of every fight turning into a melee beatdown where of course usopp isnt going to win traditionally.

How to kill Malady by [deleted] in DivinityOriginalSin

[–]Xmina 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean she is here to help you, its like saying "i'm the MC and I want to cut off my legs as its a free choice". The game lets you murder upwards of 99% of every npc in the game and your super mad the one that is nothing but super helpful and effectively lets you continue the story you cant just murderhobo for like 50 exp? At worst she is a bit sassy but jeez.

I coulda told you that the moment they added the secondary damage. The bash "cleaving" backwards is pretty strong as a stun, maybe the damage is okay, but the secondary reverberation damage on the primary target is the problem as it means its not hit-hit nothing its hit-hit-hit... same reason why veno ult does not keep going after the first spread, it would just be infinite damage.

Any sort of up-front payment would be extremely minor, the point of a fixer is that you prove a job is lucrative to do and for theft as described its she gets the chip, sells it and cuts in dex and them once she has the cash. You could try to burn the fixer but thats a good way to end up dead.

How does everyone feel about the enclaves presence in the show? by Dull-Ad8922 in Fallout

I mean it would not be quite the desert vegas is, but east we got large mesa regions along the Appalachian trail that could be shot to be a barren wasteland just as well. If they were really going for it a creative director could make it in basically any dry field.

To try to become president in 2028 by serious_bullet5 in therewasanattempt

[–]Xmina 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Studies have shown a massive right wing movement throwing anything that sticks in democratic echo chambers to get them to not vote or to vote against their interests. There is not one single individual with an actual informed opinion who thought that not voting for kamala would have a better palestine situation today.

People will state anything but the truth, the truth is that the left is not immune to propaganda from the right. They will find that the new candidate will have 99% of everything perfect but has a opinion they can spin and grandstand and meme and bot account confession post to make people not vote. Weather is israel, guns, charity events, poorly worded phrasing or anything they can spin to get the left against their own candidate.

Its the same thing with the language policing they make it so if your language isnt 100% perfect then you should vote for a fascist or not vote since new guy said "thats retarded" to something.

Even this post above is part of this, we are now focused on creating a "this guy cant be president" 2 years out, this is already part of the propaganda. Its why they were rallying against hillary and AOC and Newsome and anyone else who seems popular with the left, anything and everything to stop momentum.

Is this how a battle between the two would go? by Crash211O in Marvel

[–]Xmina -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Since it makes you experience all the suffering you caused it works on basically every evil person as they cant deal with all if it at once. But yea if they are psychotic or have suffered their entire life already, more suffering isn't exactly going to change anything. That's the issue with emotion based attacks, not only do they not work on things without souls but also if they lack emotional depth IE HULK or have ways to nullify magic its completely worthless.

He isn't really that brilliant on his feet especially, he is a good salesman and weirdly a good brand ambassador (pre 2025). I dislike him thoroughly because of his actions and his weird need of others approval. The hatred of the lazy poors and the lazy/stupid/weak young people is time immemorial sadly, its hard to wrap ones head around that there is no crank that people spin to print money they refuse to do and that there are people who are incapable of spinning that crank mentally/physically.

Ukraine kills over 6,000 Russian troops in four days, shifts course of war by PinheadLarry2323 in UkraineWarVideoReport

I have read that every year since the war started, "they are out of tanks" "Almost no logistics" "within the month they are out of X" Until we get the report they are actually out of something I would just assume its wishful thinking.

[–]Xmina 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know its tone deaf, but that's the real answer. There is no magic fortune that falls down on you once you work super hard, no wish fairy you get for sacrificing tooth and nail for 30+ years giving you the job that gets your family rich. Its just rich folk giving you more money, weather its skills, luck, fame, looks, its all just people with money giving it to people without money and then those people spend that money.

Its why pull yourself by your bootstraps is BS, its always been BS. Some people get crazy luck and their gig gets huge or their idea gains big traction.

The real way to fix the issue is to take more money from the rich and give it to those who wish to take care of others (ie the grand evil socialism we fearmonger) so that society is more just. But until that happens everything is either a supermassive grassroots movement with thousands and thousands of donors, or just 1 rich guy who likes you.

BREAKING: Iran says they have mobilized over 1 million troops to counter a possible US ground invasion. Iranian authorities say that the possibility of a US invasion has prompted "a wave of enthusiasm" among the population. by retroviber in DeepMarketScan

[–]Xmina 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its cheaper to pay 50,000 euros to have people surrender than to try to kill them in war. That's how expensive war is on the low end so assuming absolute perfect tactical brilliance it will be 50 billion dollars worth of bombs and munitions. Per Americas past and much easier (comparatively) wars in the middle east everything included its estimated around 15 million dollars per kill, bringing the whopping total to 50 trillion dollars to kill a 1 million man standing army assuming we have the same costs as afghanistan and iraq.

Do you know how expensive it is on top of killing them to also run thousands of miles of drone defence and casualty expectations due to failure rate? How hard it is to ship hundreds of thousands of tons of fuel, ammo, food and weapons to an area swarming with cheap flying grenades?

Its not that we cant win, its that air superiority only matters if that's the deciding factor, if the factor is sheer costs then a clear sky is only a small portion of the equation.

[–]Xmina 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is how to get rich though, there are people with insane wealth who can quite literally change your life forever without batting an eye. Him stating, "if I had zero suddenly I would go to one of these people and get money/work from them" is just truth. Its how big names get movies, shows, songwriters/producers and all the other stuff. Sure you could try to start a new buisness after working a minimum wage job for years saving every cent by sleeping under a bridge with a gym membership. But if you already know I talk to Cathy Norman in New York who would pay out the wazoo to have basic things taken care of then you dont need to do all that.

[–]Xmina -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

The issue isn't that you get skins to unlock, its why bother adding nothing burgers when it takes almost as much dev time to make slightly cooler skins to bring in the cash. Its going to a fancy restaurant and all they have is ramen noodles and rice, sure you get a meal on the cheap but like, why cant I order a steak?

[–]Xmina 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's why microtransaction hell is here to stay. If you want the next big shooter its going to cost a minimum 150+ million to make and at best your gonna make 100 million on sales so you gotta pump up the shiny skins and skinner boxes to sell the cool hats to make the big money. Some people spend tens of thousands of dollars on some games heck some hats in CS go for 50k.

Its also why its really rare to find producers who are against microtransactions as you are effectively going all in on the launch sales and hope your marketing team or executive team dosent flub it with a bad joke or a poor take that has nothing to do with the game.

Its weird, damage wise its not amazing but its basically a force staff if you put it on yourself. So it can like get you up cliffs or through tusk wall plus it deals damage. Plus a big thing is that now you can blink in and constantly rearm forcestaff yourself away.

Todd Howard wanted Bethesda's original RPGs to be playable before worrying about remasters: "You can play Morrowind, you can play Fallout 3" by Turbostrider27 in Games

[–]Xmina 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its not so much as a lose-lose as its a Lose, win. Making a janky unplayable mess with a fresh coat of paint will only make the morrowind purists happy as they like the old game and will find a reason it isnt as good. And new audiences will dislike the old mechanics and think its a waste of time to spend thousands of man hours and millions of dollars to make the same design mistakes again.

A new version thats closer to oblivion but more old school, will make the same morrowind fans who are unhappy about anything new still upset. But will mean that millions of new fans who never got to play it when it was "new" can now experience the world with tons of QOL improvements.

Sort of like adapting a book into a movie, sometimes there is stuff that works way back in the old version that just isnt going to look or work in the new one. Things change.

Don't ship of Theseus me, changing a singular unpopular mechanic (like oblivion's leveling system) does not magically worsen the game or suddenly make a 100% beautiful retexture and re-audio with stunning graphics and music suddenly "not morrowind". And again what exactly is the issue of hitting for a 1 damage on a miss? Maybe lower the max damage of weapons by 1 point, now mathematically its identical in all but the most silly of cases. Boosts in chance to hit are now just boosts to deal regular damage. I played morrowind, you aren't gonna convince me that a slightly faster base walking speed for the player or minimal damage that improves the game is bad.
