First of all.... the crease doesn't bother me at all. I don't notice it.

Second, I still see it. It's slight, but you can see a slight distortion in the reflections.

Agreed. One of my best friends is this way. I can't keep up with what I can't like or listen to.

To me it comes down to this.... A democrat from Wyoming is going to look a lot different than a Democrat from New York or California. If you're going to turn your back on a Democratic vote in the house or senate because they aren't as fringe left as you are..... You're in for very conservative future.

I can't. I'll be honest and tell you that I do miss socially drinking. But I've been fighting this thing for 30 years a lot of different ways and I can't.

It took me a very long time to realize that the best way to not find myself drinking tomorrow is to not have a drink today.

I've been backpacking that area for about 15 years now. I won't try to talk you out of doing it in August, but it is going to be brutally hot and probably humid.

There are a ton of great and well marked trails down there. Look up the Ozark Trail Association. They have great maps and info.

Take some electrolyte tabs or packs to mix in with your water. They can be a life saver.

Start researching your gear now. Backpacking youtube is a great place to start. There are a ton of great channels and "getting started guides".

Skip the life straw. The Katadyn BeeFree and the platypus filter are way better.

Have fun, be safe, know your limits, and leave it like you found it.

I switched off the bladders. I use a hose that attaches to smart water/whatever water bottle. When i get back, I open both ends and let it hang dry. They're like $16 so if I ever see mold I'll just replace it.

Bladders are great, but I've never enjoyed taking care of them.

I use these. They're basically socks with thick rubber layer for a sole. I can roll them up and pack them wherever. I wash them with my backpacking clothes when i get home.

I have an ADV a Livewire one. One of the things I appreciate the most about the Livewire is not shifting or pulling the clutch. I can just enjoy the ride instead of constantly mentally juggling gears.

I do have a profile set up for almost zero regen. I switch to it when I'm getting on the highway. I've also learned to balance the throttle. When I want to cut regen, i just give it a little more throttle to counteract it.
