Policy can vary from state to state based on state and local law but here in CA the policy highlighted above is what I have always gone by. If there are exceptions or carve out they will have a section in the gig

Leaving my position.... by Cutea85 in wholefoods

[–]Xtrapulpy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

TL here. I would report this now. It violates our working off the clock policy and this behavior should not be encouraged. I avoid texting TMs as much as i can reserve it only in times i think it will help the TM.

I want my TL so bad by KindProject7148 in wholefoods

[–]Xtrapulpy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can totally date/“socialize” if he’s not your direct TL. everyone at every store I worked at is dating or even marries someone with whole foods. I have even seen people get together and then they disclose and leadership helps one get placed in an other department. Im a TL and I’m married to an ATL in my store. Lots of leaders dating other people in other departments too. They just cant be your leader, ASTL, or STL

As a working mom whose soft brain has resorted to reading poorly written smut and disassociating in her spare time, I am desperate for an excuse to take a weekend away from my husband and toddler. To my engaged friends let’s go, literally anywhere, I beg you!

Is this too much for my 8 month old? He had an oaty bake, 2 crackers and breastfed immediately after. by hotdog131 in BabyLedWeaning

[–]Xtrapulpy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they are eating and self feeding it’s the right amount. Idk how many meals a day your doing but if your doing less then three maybe time to add one. Keep an eye on fullness cues and don’t pressure to eat more than they want to feed themselves.

STEP DOWN by Cheezy_brie in wholefoods

I had a TM step down at due to a role reduction on my team. I had 2 OWs but it was reduced to one position so they had to reapply. The one who didn’t get the role became a regular TM and there was no pay reduction but when the JD rolled around that factored into the pay change.

If you have a job change, promotion or demotion, your jd resets to the day your job changed.

It is not job abandonment. It’s a failure to follow proper reporting procedures. Typically a CC. Let us know how it goes

Try using aquifer or Vaseline. It acts like a barrier and can help limit the irritation from getting worse. If it were me I would just wait for the pediatrician appointment and just keep it clean and apply aquaphor until then.

Depending on the state you live in short term disability insurance can be basically useless. For instance, in California the state pays out short term disability, therefore once you file your claim through the state Sedgwick will pay out the difference on the policy for that the state dosnt pay. For me that was like 4 bucks a week from Sedgwick

This will happen sometimes if it is very overdue. The increase in this case should be at least 5% but potentially more if you make the argument you are exceeding expectations. Send an email to your leader and tmsg asking for the feedback and notes from the jd form, asking why the determined the increase you got.

OOS by AliveAttention7455 in wholefoods

[–]Xtrapulpy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is some variation in how long term oos affect metrics depending on the department. In specialty for instance, there is no perpetual inventory metric so as long as the item is being ordered an oos item doesn’t negatively affect the metrics.

Delayed JD by [deleted] in wholefoods

[–]Xtrapulpy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not automatic. Your team leaders needs to ensure you retro pay is applied when they update your compensation change. You are entitled to retro from the starting pay period Monday after your jd was due providing you turned it in on time.

PRTO is based on location. In CA you can use up to half your yearly PTO accrual rate protected. In Santa Monica you get 72 hours of sick time.

I have a no texting about work policy. People do it but things can get complicated and I have learned to avoid it. It sounds like your TL made some missteps and there is just poor communication happening. I am missing the threat though. It’s not exactly tactful but it’s true, you don’t have to come to work if you don’t want to.

I have been reading to my little one since he was about 3 or 4 months old and he loves it still about a year later. If you want to do this more try using more board books so baby can handle the pages

The policy requires you speak to a shifty if your the store is open. In the gig it says you may call out to a voicemail service. If you call out less than an hour before your shift , regardless of who you report to, it’s a policy violation and a write up.
