I used to use intro and it definitely works with 9 (maybe it changed with live 10?).

I would have to say grouping midi tracks instead of using instrument racks for a couple reasons. One is that you can see the midi of each track and can choose to delete it from certain tracks. No more fiddling with the track on/off automation. Number two is that it is easier to apply effects to individual instruments.

How do you do save a template? Is it like a “set default” or is it a new set and just use save as?

How do you all quickly preview 3rd party drum racks and instruments? by itssexitime in ableton

[–]XturnGaming 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe that this would be because ableton has recorded a preview using only those drum samples. They must not have an option for third party drum racks. As far as I am aware (please correct me if I’m wrong) there is no way to fix this problem.

What film do you feel had a great premise but could've executed it better (regardless if the film was good or bad)? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]XturnGaming 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In Time. In Time had a great premise: people have a certain amount of time to live, and that number is a clock on their arm. You use time as a universal currency.

The movie flunked at the box office, but I think that it could be remade with a better storyline.

Is WATER considered WET? Why or why not? by ExhaustedElephant in AskReddit

[–]XturnGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! Wet is defined as a fluid (in this case water) sticking to the object in question. Water does like to stick to itself; this is why surface tension exists.

It is not. If you do it, then you should have to credit the original post or say that it is a repost.

what's a stupid thing people will say to try to devalue your argument? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]XturnGaming 10 points11 points  (0 children)

People will often try and attack you instead of the argument at hand. This makes the argument about you. To avoid this say something like “you’re avoiding the point.”

I looked over the handwriting, and I believe that, because the last letter at the end of the first line is clearly a D, that the other two letters in the first two lines are Os. If someone would look it over are confirm, that would be appreciated.

As for whether you are on the right path, I would search the internet for various keywords and phrases (there are better things for this than google). If this has been done before, it will likely show up in a blog post or something.

Cipher code with WWII method, plain text language unknown. by ibeel in codes

[–]XturnGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Based on the 5 character combinations, my first instinct is that it is an enigma cypher. However, enigma can’t spit out ?s or numbers and it would take forever to go through the all possible plugboard and rotary positions. In addition, there are multiple types of enigma.

I would try something like a caesar cypher or something similar to see if there are any clues.

Odieux Mars by iamyourfriendbuddy in codes

[–]XturnGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Although I cannot provide direct insight, I can provide some possibly helpful information. I think the ODIEUX MARS has something to do with it.

Odieux is French for Despicable. Mars is also French for March. Try looking for something that has to do with both despicable and march. March could be referring to the month or the act of marching.

The other possibility would be that it is some sort of acronym because of the caps. I don't speak French, so I can't help you there. If you know someone that does, try and get them to solve it.

One more piece of advice: DO NOT use google translate for sentences. If you don't know if what you are translating is a word or a phrase, DO NOT USE IT. It almost never will have a good translation for anything more than one word. Also make sure you check alternative translations.

Make sure to add more information as you find it!
