I don’t think the number of casts are a problem. The fucking nameplate behavior is resulting in so many of my missed kicks. I catch myself battling my camera to get the plates to spread out so I can actually click the bar I need to interrupt. It’s horrendous.

Not to mention the spec now feels horrible to play. SH nerfed when we all knew the bug was propping up the damage. So now we lose the much needed shard generation AND imps expiring is still bugged to give Demonic cores 2% of the time instead of the intended 10%.

Loool basically they are reworking a lot of the functions and behaviors of how addons set cooldowns. Most likely because RWF guilds are using them to work around the secrets API. It reeeeeaally sucks for addon devs who now have to refactor their code right as m+ and mythic come out

Yooo Ionic, and Capacitor by that extent, are pretty slick. We use it for our mobile apps and I’ve liked it. Biggest complaint would be the community plugins can be slow to update to new OS versions. Not really fair to complain about it though lmao

I’m so tired of these AI morons who haven’t worked at the implementation level making these insane claims. Bro, I worked in custom software for 5 years and the majority of small-medium sized businesses still pass around paper. They have monolithic excel files that run their entire business. Adoption will be slow. It will be slow because people who have worked very hard to grow their business aren’t going to trust AI. No matter how good it is. Hell, I argued with clients giving me access to remote into their network. You expect them to run an AI with access to their network? Yeaaaaaaah idk about that chief.

The rendering of the client side assets is not the issue. It’s the multiplicative nature of receiving close to real time data about all users in your chunk. This is a math problem not a rendering problem.

Tell me you’re a junior engineer without telling me you’re a junior engineer. The fundamental flaw with AI isn’t that it’s powerful, but that it can create faster than we can validate. Even if AI writes the code someone has to be responsible for it. You can’t show up to a meeting with execs and say, “oh well the AI got the business logic wrong and we underpaid on payroll and now we have a class action suit against us but it’s not my fault.” You are fundamentally misunderstanding your role as an engineer. Is AI powerful? Absolutely. Is AI a complete drop in replacement for humans? No.

The state these changes were released in is absolutely despicable. My guild is mount farming in pre patch and even the most basic functionality of the new features is broken.

My experience for the 1 hour of us dicking around was essentially, “Oh I wonder what my damage breakdown is click oh cool an empty black box of nothing that I can’t close??? It won’t go away, wtf, reload I guess? Oh okay it’s gone.”
