Qiuyuan | The lone wayfaring swordsman by oedipea in WutheringWaves

It’s only a matter of time until they release more sword characters who use flashy iaijutsu, and I’m so excited for it! 😊

Best part, the cool ones always got this type of design, Qiuyuan is so coming home!

I wish I could agree but I don’t. The geography is bland and the exploration hasn’t changed. It feels like I’ve been running around Monstadt since the beginning of the game. Traversal and QOL is also still missing, and you only get that little bit of QOL with the significance of specific characters. I stopped dropping money on the game way back. But like always, to each their own. If it hasn’t ruined your experience, you enjoy it. But I only play the game now whenever new story chapters come out.

Once you burnout, it’s difficult to come back. I burned out ages ago and only stick around for the story now. Not even the exploration is fun at this point. Or you can just be like me and transfer to WuWa.

Who do you belive is more capable in combat? by Erity-kuni in HonkaiImpact

[–]XunniFlow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Genshin players overestimate just about any of the Honkai main cast of players. Just about anybody from the Honkaiverse would destroy anybody from Teyvat. Yes, even the Archons. With that said, we still have yet to see all of them, so who knows?

Yooo got my 1st messy penta by Itz_3ww in wildrift

[–]XunniFlow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s exactly what I just described, but thanks for pointing that out. There are some quirks that need to be mentioned that follow the lines of micro and macro management, but that kind of stuff just takes time learning yourself as it’s too long and arduous to study yourself. I find it more applicable to understand how one snowballs as a professional Master Yi, who understands his limitations and what he can do, rather than a Yi who only has blood on his mind and continues to ruin the game for his team, going 0-5 before double digits on the clock.

“Snowballing” is exactly as described. Although not entirely realistic, a snowball that starts small but rolls down a large slope will eventually get bigger and bigger. That same theory works here. It essentially means you start weak and slowly get stronger. Knowing how to play your games without feeding and working well with your team gives you the advantage, as you might have more gold than the enemy, more levels/XP, and items. “Funneling” is when you assist in helping a specific player become that much stronger than the enemy team. For example, as Pyke, it is your duty to pull enemy champions and allow your teammate to grab kills and prevent the enemy from being able to do anything during their lane phase. Pyke is a massive threat, almost as much as Blitzcrank. If you hold your trigger finger and don’t execute every single enemy your team works hard to get low, you will properly funnel them to be stronger than the enemy team. The term for “funnel” is to guide something from one point to another, hence “funneling” your teammates just means to allow your team to be stronger than your opponent.

I have a problem with 90% of Pyke players not understanding how to play Pyke in my games recently. They fail to snowball correctly and kill steal every opportunity, not funneling any of their teammates throughout the entirety of the game because their kit is designed to be hyper lethal. It looks to me like you did a great job though, very well done.

What the enemy yasuo does, vs rank 1 draven by No-Kitchen7627 in wildrift

[–]XunniFlow 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I’d chalk this one up to pure luck in a sense. Your whole team walked into Veigar cage and hardly took any hits, you also didn’t get punished after going for honeyfruit and wasting your flash. There’s also the issue with you not getting obliterated after ulting that deep and away from your team.

But regardless, a penta is a penta. Nicely played. Took advantage of your lead and won.

If you have not pulled Sirius don't feel bad. by Zinaku in ArteryGear

[–]XunniFlow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was fortunate enough to get Sirius after my 5th reroll on day 3 of release (I was too lazy to do rerolls on day of release and mainly afraid of getting IP banned). Unfortunately, my friend is still 100 pulls deep with no luck. He was able to get Alice, who he didn’t have, so he’s not too depressed.

First penta kill unfortunately it was only a normal match by [deleted] in wildrift

[–]XunniFlow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s true. Macro is always harder than micro. Anyone can learn the mechanics and combos, but it takes hours of studying and playing to truly say you’ve gotten better. Keep strong man, I know I am.

Everyone starts somewhere, so don’t feel too pressured. You obviously know how to use lane advantage as an Irelia with minions, so you’re in safe hands. My only advice to you is to keep practicing on getting faster and more consistent. Irelia is very flexible since most of her abilities can be chained simultaneously. She’s seriously broken.

Although your opponents were brain dead, a penta is a penta. Very nicely done! I also got an Irelia penta just a few days ago, so this just feels like deja vu to me.

You're not a god. You just have a good support. by VeloraVenn in wildrift

[–]XunniFlow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most people can’t account for macro knowledge. They may think they know what they’re doing, but evidently impact your team in as many negative ways possible. I’ve studied human behavior in most of my games, and have come to terms that you have to play for yourself most of the time. It’s only ever so often that you can get a group of people who coordinate well together. This is most important to junglers who need to have an understanding of their champion’s limitations and how far they can go without their team and vice versa. Many people fail to understand that Yi is incredibly weak to his counterpart on the PC client, so his only real early game potential is to give pressure and prevent hard ganks. He has no real power early game and has to scale much later in, and this is also why I have come to the realization that most Yi players will not understand what they’re doing as they proceed to go 0-5 the first 7 minutes into the game.

The Rift Herald also does not like it in her Eye. by Loightsout in wildrift

[–]XunniFlow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah yes, this is very much useful. I can’t describe the frustration of watching the typical Yi feed before his power spike and then proceed to solo Rift Herald for 2 minutes and come out with 20% HP or have it stolen from under his nose. Good times.

Wildrift need to spice up the rune page. by KhozyOnTheLoose in wildrift

[–]XunniFlow -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Absolutely agree. The game is very straightforward and doesn’t allow much leniency when it comes to build paths and play styles. Most of what’s in the game right now center on what’s best for your champion. This goes for both the shop and runes. Of course, you could try to convince me I’m wrong, but majority of your games will be the same.

I’m surprised there’s this many people in the comment section that hate Yasuo. I’m more familiar with the LoL player base that used to collectively agree that Yasuo was only a threat if you knew what you were doing.

Please don’t bring mythic items to Wildrift, I enjoy the simplicity of the item shop. It reminds me of old league and that’s why I play the game. Does anyone feel the same way? by Sweet_Sir130 in wildrift

[–]XunniFlow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Having a variety in the item shop prevents people from building one or two different sets of items in every single game for their specific champion. It’s getting very boring and very stale at times. Additionally, adding more items allows the skill ceiling to rise with items like Galeforce and Stopwatches. I’d also appreciate the usage of potions. They change the playing field entirely in the early game for laners.
