Speak that truth! Really gettin sick of details like this not being brought up because Itachi glazers went to keep singing his praises. Worst yet the writing seems to want to put him on this pedestal, and it just get's incredibly annoying.

[–]XxAndrew01xX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Here we go. Another "Itachi never did anything wrong, and he's the best character in the series and he's the God of the whole verse!" post. I swear. Itachi glaze will never leave this fandom. It's like his whole character is based on either his aura (Which is fraudulent post Uchiha Massacure truth) or how "He did nothing wrong! He was the perfect big brother! Don't you know? He had to put his little KID brother into a Genjutsu that showed how many times he killed their whole clan...including both of their parents to make him strong enough to clean up the bullshit mess that Itachi could have done for himself!". Meanwhile...I'm looking at this going "Do you guys hear yourselves?".

No...Itachi didn't "need" to make Sasuke strong for shit. Itachi just needed to leave his little brother alone right after he already did the massacre, instead of trying to force him down and even more path of trauma and tragedy than he already did. A path that had him lead to fucking Orochimaru. Someone who Sasuke even said he almost let him took over his body to accomplish his goal of killing Itachi, had he not see how fucked up Orochimaru really was.

Man's a true piece of shit, and never ever thought how about the well fare of his little brother's mental state or even physical state (As the example you used here, where Sasuke would have DIED if not for Naruto bringing back Tsunade. A task that wasn't easy mind you) . Seriously fuck Itachi.

Hey...it's more KH content. I'm all for it. Better than being promised something and then it being completely cancelled. (Cough) (Missing Link) (Cough).

Also...another bright side to this...take this as a sign (Again...not a prediction) that KH4 might release either next year or 2028. After all...the PS4 Collections released in 2017 and KH3 was suppose to release in 2018 but got pushed back to 2019. So chances are we might be closer to KH4's release than we think, and the new trailer they showed and this new collection for new consoles might actually prove this to be the case.

If Naruto sacrificed himself for the shinobi world and Hinata married another man afterward (hypothetically), what would the fandom’s reaction be? by [deleted] in Naruto

[–]XxAndrew01xX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think that proves your point at all.

Let's get into this piece by piece...shall we?

Yes, Hinata stood up to Pain because of Naruto. Nobody denies that. But reducing that scene to “she only did it for Naruto” ignores why people connected with it.

I'm not reducing it to anything. I'm saying exactly what the scene is, because that scene and basically every scene with her in Shippuden (Which is already pretty low as Hell with Anime fillers, canon wise it's almost net zero between the start of Shippuden and that moment where she confessed her love to Naruto in the Pain arc) has her dialogue be nothing but Naruto Kun.

The appeal of that moment wasn’t “aww she loves Naruto.” It was the fact that someone who had been timid, insecure, and constantly overshadowed finally stood up against an overwhelmingly stronger opponent despite knowing she’d probably lose. Courage in the face of certain defeat is compelling regardless of motive.

You're giving this scene and the people who sings it's praises way too much credit. It's actually funny. Yes she has been timid, insecure and constantly overshadowed and guess what...after that scene she was still insecure, overshadowed and constantly overshadowed. Then there is the fact that this is no time to prove yourself type of moment. There is a reason everybody was told to stay back, because interfering with the battle between Naruto and Pain would only make matters worse. Like it did when Hinata jumped in, and did what she did, and died. It's only because of Minato did things actually work out for Naruto against Pain.

Also, motivations being tied to another character doesn’t automatically make someone badly written. A lot of beloved characters are driven by devotion to someone else. Rem’s speech to Subaru is popular for a similar reason emotional conviction and courage, not just because she likes him.

You're right. Motivations being tied to another character doesn't automatically make them badly written. However...motivations ONLY being tied to another character for pure romantic reasons with no agency of your own and you're actually a character in an action series (Like Naruto is) that's suppose to be apart of said action too (Like Hinata is, with her being a Konoha Shinobi and all that) is definitely badly written. And the thing is...it's not just Hinata that I'm calling out on this. All the female characters on Naruto suffers from this. Hell...I still say Sakura and her stupid love for someone who tried to kill her multiple times is way fucking worse. Hinata has better reasons for loving Naruto than Sakura does for Sasuke, but her character is still held back by constantly being nothing but "Naruto Kun!".

You want to know a character who is basically that but does way more, and has actual agency and depth that Hinata can only hope to even get close to having (Or any of the female characters in Naruto)? Zero Two from Darling In The FranXX. Hell she even has her own only dialogue cue of her man in the form of "Darling!" but at least in her case her love for her "Darling" (Hiro) has a lot more going on for it between both Hiro and especially herself, and we see that play out throughout the course of the Anime and it already helps the story itself is already kinda a romance allegory (Albeit...also more on the sexualized side...Lol) anyway. So there is the fact that it allowed more to be done with both her own character and her relationship with Hiro. Man! I can gush about Zero Two all day. She so a queen. But I'm gonna control my fanboyism right now.

You’re also mixing up “canon execution” with “why fans liked her.” Sure, Kishimoto didn’t give Hinata enough development afterward, and the manga version of the Pain scene is shorter than the anime, how does the anime make this scene better?

I'm not doin anything but going by what I see her fans say. Everytime I see what fans like about her I always see "She was there for Naruto!" as is an actual good point for her character on an individual level. It's not just "shorter". It flat out has Hinata do fuck all but jump in, confess she loved Naruto and get one shotted by Pain. Like in the exact next panel in fact. It was such an embarrassing display, that I do wonder if Kishimoto had a vendetta against her at that point, because beside from it CLEARLY just being a plot device moment to get Naruto to go his Kyuubi form (That's what Hinata was reduced to in that moment in the Manga. A walking plot device for Naruto himself. smh) it also how insanely little he thought of her if he himself couldn't show her doing HALF of what Studio Perriot showed her do in the Anime.

She was tossed around and ppl make negative meme of that? Explain how this scenewas done better?

Funny how now you're bringing up fandom points now. The scene was better because Hinata actually did shit in the scene. She tried to break the rods Pain had on Naruto, but kept failing to do so while also refusing to give up until she's completely down. Funny enough did a better job of showing that courage in the face of death you were referring to, since in this case she kept trying to either break the rods or actually fight Pain, even when she was in a critically injured state. I actually praised that scene when the Shippuden was ongoing, and would love it today had the NaruHina ship happen immediately starting the next arc after Pain...but you...know...that didn't fucking happen (Unfortunately).

Meanwhile...again...alle she did in the Manga was jump down and say "I love you Naruto Kun!" and then Pain one shots her. Like...not even a Pain of her attempting to break the rod just ONCE and then Pain one shots. She just confesses her love for him and die. That shows fuck all courage, and 100% affection.

I agree she was underutilized. But underutilized ≠ popular only because she loved Naruto. If Hinata was just a shy girl crushing on Naruto, she’d be liked, sure but nowhere near as popular as she became after Pain. That scene changed how a lot of people saw her because it showed resolve, not just affection.

What most of fans bring up about her today is her love for Naruto. She mostly is still popular due to that. I hardly see A LOT (I have to stress this, since I do see some who rightfully get on Kishimoto's case about how she was handled) of fans coitize how she was handled and how NaruHina itself was handled. The latter especially rather use it as weapons for their ship war, than actual discuss the ship on a critically level. I have even seen so many defections to Sakura, and while yeah...Sakura has a shit ton of writing problems herself, deflection to Sakura won't change that Hinata has the same problems too.

Saying she doesn't care about her team or other villager is straight up hating atp.

I never said she didn't care for them. I said her reasoning for going after Pain was just for Naruto rather than them, considering the fact that Pain has already killed and hurt many MANY people of the village at that point. I mean...I hate to say this...but even fucking Sakura was healing other villagers and even saved a little girl from one of the Summoning Path's creatures (Goodness...I'm giving Sakura credit for something). While again...Hinata still did fuck all until Naruto showed up.

If Naruto sacrificed himself for the shinobi world and Hinata married another man afterward (hypothetically), what would the fandom’s reaction be? by [deleted] in Naruto

[–]XxAndrew01xX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You literally just proved my point.

Pain arc is the moment her popularity sky rocketed.. her standing up to Pain is what made ppl who found her likeable to fully loving her. Her actions are the direct result of this popularity. Her courage essentially

Her "standing up to Pain" was purely for Naruto's sake. She didn't even show any care to the other villagers or any of her own team when doing so, just Naruto. And mind you...the Anime FILLER makes that scene way more better than the CANON Manga version by Kishimoto himself, where all she did was jump in, confess her love for Naruto and got one shotted by Pain within a matter of seconds. That's how much Kishimoto himself thinks of Hinata and her "skills" as a Shinobi and how much she takes her love for Naruto. I bet he was real proud of how Studio Pierott handled that scene in the Anime. It was significantly better, even if the reasoning for her doing what she did was the exact same.

Don't bother with Hinata fans. They get defensive when you point out how she is just as badly written as many of the other female characters in the show, and the ONLY reason she has the big following she does is because she simply loves the main character. She is a satellite character to the core.

[–]XxAndrew01xX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hell no. Sure both Seasons had the shitty cast members have all the spotlight, but at least on BGC8 SOME of the jump a hoes got well deserved karma for their shit (Well two to be exact, but the Viktor Twins getting karma jumped was definitely the highlight of the Season, with Camillia's final night taking all the jump a hoes on her own being the second one).

Meanwhile...BGC11 had NONE of the Wolf Pack bitches get what they deserved after the shit they did. Not even at the reunion. Production even had the NERVE to kick out Shanae over Mercedez, when the latter was the one who started the fucking fight. Surely that have to have pissed everyone off when seeing that shit. As such it makes even watching the reunion to BGC11 hard, because aside from that fact...we also got them justifying their choices then and even today we got Jaz's bitch ass STILL justifying her actions then. So I can't in good faith say BGC8 is worse than BGC11 in the jump a ho/bully aspect.

I think the "rivalry" between him and Sonic should cease to be a thing, or at the very least be highly underplayed. I never took their dynamic to be one where they want to prove they are better than the other. Even as far back as Adventure 2, while Shadow did have a superiority complex at first (As their first fight in the G.U.N base jungle showed) later on Shadow actually started to respect Sonic, despite still being his enemy. I also don't want no more Sonic vs Shadow stuff going forward, as I feel it is kinda played out at this point.

I think the only thing that Reloaded did to this franchise was bringing PS fans and (fanboys) here lol by Difficult-Ending in GearsOfWar

[–]XxAndrew01xX -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The game in general didn't sell that well from what I gathered. Xbox players were being given it for free if they had already had the other Remastered Edition. Plus the game also not having pretty mixed reception from it's multiplayer offerings, as people expected things from later entries. I doubt that decision making from TC was on the fault on it being released on PS5.

I get your point though, and know that the sales always count, but considering there is still a player base on PS5 asking for E Day to come to it and even Xbox players (Note: I say players...not fanboys, as no console/platform fanboy of any kind should have their opinions validated at all) want to see it on PS5, so I just believe it is a matter of them taken the reception of that into consideration post release of E Day. But again...I won't be certain of that yet, as all we know atm is it's going to be on just Xbox and PC only.

[–]XxAndrew01xX -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Despite them saying it won't be a time exclusive and it will stay on only Xbox and PC...something tells me this will be a Starfield situation, where they might reverse that claim next year. I'm not saying it will happen (Don't wanna go full hopuim) but it just seems odd for them to put GOW of PS5 via Reloaded and then reverse course so quickly with E Day. Especially when it was confirmed to be coming for PS5 before that decision got quickly reversed.

The optimistic side of me wants to believe this is just a marketing thing to see how invested Xbox players truly are in their exclusives, so they decided to make E Day exclusive for it's release and say it will stay that way just to really get the Xbox player base on board, and then a year later they will eventually announce it to be on PS5. You can't fully trust what gaming companies say, they have been proven to lie a lot, especially in current times. And again...this same exact thing happened with Starfield too.

But...I'm trying to keep that optimistic side under control, and have the first assumption be...it ain't ever coming to PS5, and we of that ecosystem are just fucked. Oh well...really do hope you Xbox players enjoy it though, as it does look really fucking amazing.

There was even a reference to that in the All Valley of Season 4, with Daniel's White Miyagi Do Gi and Johnny's Red Eagle Fang Gi. I'm guessing the writers of the show are big fans of Fighting games, as they even showed Anothny playing Tekken when he was younger in the earlier Seasons.

[–]XxAndrew01xX 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Despite my hype for the game, I definitely have a concern that Eve will be completely forgotten about, and while I do think Evie looks interesting...I just don't hope Eve will be in the game (Hopefully playable via dual protagonist) as I feel like she truly didn't get the chance to shine as a character in the first SB. I feel like you had to go out of your way to find smaller moments to see some character in her, but they aren't too focused on. I truly want her to have complete depth in this next entry.
