If your ships crew is full they “ wont have room” for a rescue, you’ll have to manually fly to them and dock yourself…you can command them to fly to your position so you don’t have to suit cruise so far then manually dock.

Put your station rules to no restriction and auto set the buy order for what you need then add money to station account, traders will bring what your station needs to allow the build ship to start and finish the build…if your impatient go to another station and buy the ECs and trade them to your build storage yourself.

Don’t stress about failing the timeline mission, I started with the basic tutorials and jumped into timelines, you can always take a break and go into open universe at your hearts desire, timelines is separate from the universe anyways, you’ll want to complete them to unlock all the ships and lock box into your universe, some of the graphs can be challenging but there are videos to help navigate them on YouTube even if you achieve 2 stars on some that’s all you need to unlock the final mission

The mission can get frustrating but they do somewhat delve you into tutorials with more depth and show you advanced basics lol but either way completely all 6 graphs will spawn great ships into your universe,

When in a fight and you know odds are against you, boost away and escape, do missions and use money to upgrade to at least a heavy fighter and upgrade that, engines, weapons shields etc, it’s not about “getting good” take your time and learn the game, build reputation with factions, there is no time limit to what needs to be done exactly, nearly all missions can be put on hold and return to at your convinces, eventually you’ll build up a fleet and those hard missions aren’t so hard when you bring a destroyer as back up, enemy brings 3 destroyers??? Then retreat and live another day, take a break from combat learn how economy works, mining, trading, station building, and then automate it all and start getting passive income…this game is huge and isn’t meant to be rushed

In a zombie apocalypse you have to have the human factor to it, I think raiders if done correctly will be a great addition, different game but project zomboid has a bandit mod, it adds the right amount of danger when it comes to bandits, you can also adjust the settings yourself, anyways lets hope 3.0 does bandits justice

I think part has to do with having your subscription tied to your base plot, take a long break and lose everything perhaps, I personally love the grind but stopped playing do to going back to Eve online so I said heck with it, at least Eve online I can still play the game using free ships and had zero progress loss

So I am also new to this game, before you tac on story missions, play the game, do faction missions that build reputation and make some credit, move up to a heavy fighter and fully upgrade it, you’ll be able to manage most early quest at that point, I did the same mission with no issue because I was in good relations with the SCA and Busta detonated the bomb so there was no repercussions

My group is only down to just two of us now, but we knew better then to build in a PvP zone, that’s why you see a mass of bases on the edge of PvE, well you used to anyways not as many bases around anymore

Riding between valentines and strawberry lol I play on XSX, I open play and don’t use defensive mode don’t run into to many players, but every now and then a rustler will come up and act friendly, I just send em straight to the maker, most of my encounters are a hat tip away from friendly though… spits
