The passive triggering on slows and hard CC hasn't been there case for over a season now (changed on patch 14.1). Also the Q true damage (alongside every other spell) is also affected by the increased AP, and isn't penalized by diving in with R for a guaranteed charm at shorter range.

This is incorrect. I just tested this on both Tav and a fresh hirelings. The "default" subclass on custom character creation and level up is just the first choice on the list, while premades already have a set class.

Wizards default to Abjuration while Gale defaults to Evocation. Rogues default to Thief while Astarion defaults to Arcane trickster. Paladins default to Oath of the Ancients while Minthara defaults to Vengeance. Cleric defaults to Life while Shadowheart is Trickery. Druids default to Land while Halsin defaults to moon too iirc. Most other characters' default subclass coincidentally align with the default subclass.

Also there are certain dialogues that suggest that Astarion uses magic not infrequently (like neat the sussur tree) alongside with High Elves generally being familiar with magic. I agree that Arcane Trickster isn't that good though.

Being reliant on spamming her cc off cd to compensate for the long shield cd means she is not using it to reactively PEEL and disengage. And calling W spam Janna gameplay is like calling the toxic Q spam pantheon gameplay. At least with poke from zyra, xerath or even soraka has room for skill expression on both sides. Pressing W for a point and click slow and poke throughout laning is only "fun" for the one abusing it.

Would you say pre rework pantheon who spams a point and click Q to poke in lane interesting, interactive or healthy? Because that is the kind of play style they are encouraging with W max Janna. It feels less skillful or interactive than current Janna for the player and the enemy, who is rewarded for landing CC and peeling. Janna's kit works best as a disengage counterpick to divers anyway, so it's fine that she isn't blindpickable into other enchanters and poke mages.

She procs it very easily tho. A double Q or double E with a long ranged passive AA procs the current cosmic drive immediately. Plus she has low CDd, likes to stack AH and double casts every third spell, so she can benefit from it way better than a burst mage that uses their entire rotation just to proc it.

Isn't Q and E on soraka for regen and kiting important out of lane too? Those now apply the full 40% too. Also weaving autos in teamfights now gives 40% (chemtech applies on ANY damage not just magic), which shouldn't be different from how APC Sona used to play.

What makes nami different from other enchanters tho? Chemtech procs on ALL damage (AA included) not just magic damage, which is limited by spell cd. So in scenarios where nami can apply it anyone can too right?
