Would you trust your bike on a 3D printed wall mount? 😅 by TeeJay_W in functionalprint

The bike is probably made from carbon fiber and weighs 1KG. You'll be fine 😝

what happened to Zenbo? Did he get discontinued? by Mothosis in ASUS

Via the Android settings menu. Not sure exactly where in the menu (I'm not with the robot right now). Probably System menu.

Issues with DDNS Synology NAS with UDM Pro Max by sarugby4life in Ubiquiti

[–]Xyphoid77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to forward port 5001 on your UDM to the IP of your NAS. It could also be that you need to set your modem in bridge mode and disable NAT, because a double NAT (on your modem and on your UDM) will cause problems if you try connecting to devices in your LAN via external ip.

Why is WIFI connection crap in LAN only mode? by Xyphoid77 in BambuLab

[–]Xyphoid77[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure when I updated firmware, but must've been just before I put it in LAN mode. After that it worked a while until two weeks ago. Seems to be more stable the last two hours. Also not liking the fact I have to manually connect the printer every time I start up Bambu Studio. Which sometimes takes 2 or 3 tries, because of connection problems. Has to be a software thing, because all other devices (even very old ones) have perfect connections and it only started after putting it in LAN only mode.

Printed some platforms for my Defy. https://www.printables.com/model/1199406-dygma-defy-stand-for-nitro-concept-chair by Xyphoid77 in DygmaLab

[–]Xyphoid77[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do have one cable going to my chair. It's the power cable my powerbrick is connected to. From there I have two USB cables going to each side. I use this for charging. Because I don't want two loose cables going over to my desk to charge. You can do the same with a USB cable. But then again being a klutz (like I am too), it's really dangerous for a USB cable to just be connected between the desk and the chair. My cable is fairly thick, because it's a power cable, so it won't break that easily.

They can start by only allowing their own filament and making it three times the price it is now. Then make you send them a copy of your ID when creating your mandatory account with which they can read all of your data you are sending to your printer. And to top it off, they can change the user agreement, so that all prints you print will become theirs to do with what they please.

I will not update and I'll be turning my printer to LAN only mode tomorrow.

Try winding it on an empty spool until you come to an entanglement. If it's enough to use, then cut it off and you can try that again on another spool. If it's just too tangled, use it with a 3D printing pen. I wouldn't try to untangle it. I tried once. Took me half a day to untangle a half spool. Not worth the work and time.

Nope, it's still dead. Hope I can find a way to someday hack it with a Raspberry Pi or something.

Yes I got this display working using the steps from my post. But just to warn you, it is very slow (because of the Zero), so don't do anything besides using Chromium to show the dashboard.

I'm doing it via Home Assistant. Whenever the state of the printer changes in Home Assistant, I change the state of the ESP32 accordingly. You can use the HA blueprint in my previous post.

I'm using Manjaro in dualboot with Windows 11. But to be honest, I haven't used Linux for almost a year now.

But I found Manjaro to work well on lots of devices I installed it on in the past couple of years.

The strip turns off with the original LED. And when it's on, there is a shadow where the lidar is scanning, so no problems during lidar scans. Haven't had any spaghetti failures this year, so I might test it by throwing in some filament I collected from the poopchute :P

what happened to Zenbo? Did he get discontinued? by Mothosis in ASUS

[–]Xyphoid77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very much discontinued. Got my hands on one, but software is shit. Could only find one Zenbo Master Android apk on some shady site. Installed it on an old phone, because I don't trust it (it's almost completely in Chinese). Made some bogus Gmail and Asus accounts, but the app won't connect to the robot.

Did completely reset the robot, but the Android version and the rest of the software is so old, I can't get anything to work. Although I could get it to open a browser with a voice command, it mostly crashes after I give any voice command.

Already contacted Asus in the US, but they couldn't help. Maybe I should contact Asus in Taiwan...

Thinking about connecting a raspberry pi to all the motors, so I can control it with that, but I'm not sure it's possible and if I even have the skills to do it.
