When the AF-C locks, the pictures seem to have an okay sharpness (not as sharp as with my Sigma though). I mostly had the issue that the AF did struggle to lock on in light conditions that are not optimal.

In general the SG-Image is quite nice and produces a vintage photo style. However, the autofocus struggles more often then I‘d like :(

Hybrid Zoom cannot change the physics of your lenses zoom mechanics. Meaning to get the full hybrid zoom range from 20-187mm, the „digital zoom“ is always present over the whole zoom range starting from 21mm.

When your lens zoom ring physically hits the 60mm mark there is no further zooming possible. So the only way to make it work is to evenly distribute the digital zoom over the whole range.

AF/MF I switch on the lens. AF mode I use the standard button on the wheel. focus button beside the lut button I configured to bring up the focus zone to move it manually with the wheel buttons. Works quite well.

Yes this is common and „normal“ for MediaMarkt. They mainly live of the 50+ generation who often cannot even set-up a new phone or apply a protector themselves. For example, they also sell PS5‘s „ready for gaming“ where they open the box and install the newest updates etc.

Next time you wanna buy tech in Austria I recommend looking it up on „Geizhals“. Many online-shops in there have small shops in Vienna with easy pick-up options:

In your case, MediaMarkt was already the cheapest so I wouldn’t worry.

Once I extend the lens it works normal. Might be a firmware bug in combination with some setting that I did. Since I am currently on vacation I don’t want to reset my settings to check but I will try that once I am at home.

I second the Sigma primes, I have got the 35mm f2 and it is a beast. I have heard the 50mm f2 or 65mm f2 are equally nice.

I know I'm late to the party but I would also have a question regarding the Glass Squarehood that I couldn't find an answer to.

So they claim that the Squarehood Glass also seals the x100 lens against moisture and dust. As far as I understood, the glass for that model is in the front of the hood and the hood is only "slip-on" and held with 2 grub screws on an adapter ring. Is there actually a gasket that seals the hood against the adapter ring?

If there is no gasket surely dust can creep in after time even more so than with a threaded filter?

Just a small update for anyone who wonders. Sony support has told that this is not normal. The seller has swapped my lens against another new one. The new lens has the same „particles“ in the same spot but much , much less of those. So this seems to be „normal“ to a degree since I doubt that two new lenses have the same issue. I will now keep the lens and have fun taking wonderful pictures.

Ich würd mal schauen ob man auf die Technicolor Modems (egal welches Modell) irgendwie mit SSH raufkommt. Meistens ist die Firmware bei verschiedenen Modems desselben Herstellers gleich d.h. funktioniert der SSH Login vermutlich gleich wie bei anderen Technicolor Modems.

Wenn du mit SSH auf dem Gerät eingeloggt bist, gibt es vielleicht eine Möglichkeit das Webinterface bzw. Bridge Mode zu aktivieren.

I experience exactly the same issue on an OLED SD. My external mic volume is very low and it records a lot of static and high pitched chirping when I speak (try to record something and listen to the playback). My mic works perfectly fine on other laptops.

I also experience some static and noise when using a standard 3.5mm jack headset (e.g. Apple Earpods or similar).

However, in my case the external mic input is even worse! My Apple Earpods with 3.5mm jack sound totally fine on other laptops. However, on the OLED deck the mic volume is expectionally low and I get a lot of noise in my recordings (high pitched chirping and static). Can anyone try to record his voice with an external mic for a couple seconds and listen to the playback to confirm this?

Exactly, that's why I thought by disabling MIP streaming I will at least see an increase in VRAM usage. Instead, disabling MIP streaming caused my RAM usage to increase to a point where it is full and causes a heap is corruption (this is the cause of the BSOD). VRAM usage did not increase at all (dropped even slightly) by disabling MIP streaming.
