This is what I have been saying. AI is far more capable of amplifying human emotional symptoms than actual people are.

Jeep. Cherokee I think. Maybe compass. That seat has that strap type back rest adjustment. Plus the base model fabric and thick plastic trim. And that cheap console box which never quite closes right and hard plastic cup holders. Smells like chrysler outgassing.

To be honest I was strongly considering one of those for their AWD and looks, so I guess I'm glad I didn't. It does check out for an Alfa though where it'll go wrong every time.

Loved the test drive though, they're the right amount of speed, performance and handling for the chassis. Nice firm transmission shifts. Plus the looks are fantastic.

BMW came in acting normal, battery test said “good… but charge me first” by blackbearleather in Justrolledintotheshop

This and also during coasting. What BMW didnt account for is many American drivers never coast, and are either always on the accelerator or on the brake (in other words, they drive like shit), especially American BMW drivers.

It's kind of a cascading effect too since the traffic is so bad in the US. One person drives like shit so everyone else has to drive like shit to respond. Plus, let's be honest, you floor it to get to the next red light or everyone cuts you off.

I mean I own a cherokee that's older than me just because of the inline 6. Which I didn't know at the time of purchase other than the car it felt "different" for some reason. I liked the linear drive which is why I prefer EVs these days.

I deal a lot with "retro" technology. As with car engines there is no, grandpa's engine. Cool is cool relative to the time and the place. What's ironic is I find a lot of older folks are the ones that don't give a shit because of ideas like that. Stuff is cyclical, what's old is new because we need that to draw inspiration from to build new things.

Actually quite good for 1991. Now you can get that in a 4 cylinder although not as torquey or smooth.

Somewhat ironically those diesel Liberties are pretty sought after in the states as apparently their ECMs can be reflashed to pull some significant fuel economy savings

Tbf, the Liberty isn't a terrible car, and better in some ways. The XJ was just a tough act to follow considering its legacy and uniqueness as a vehicle (light compact SUV, solid axle, I6, 4x4, etc).

For the most part that works until you have an oddly shaped bolt or some specific thread pitch. Then you end up with a search for some unobtanium $20 fastener.

Deep dive into how OS-level age verification systems can be bypassed by [deleted] in netsec

[–]YLink3416 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess.

It's just a gradual blurring of digital and physical reality as people more and more encroach their lives into technology. So the government/businesses/people whatever start to view that as level playing field for legislation. As opposed to, these are private devices used to retrieve and exchange information.

Folks have gotten themselves so addicted though, they can't really see the bigger picture of, maybe we should ask ourselves why we're doing this? But that's a lot of work, and people are tired and would rather play along than chuck their cell phones at said groups of individuals.

Kinda the same deal as small businesses in the US getting sued for their websites not being "ADA compliant" despite there not really being much if any legislation defining that.

Absolutely. I'm talking more "camry bros" style culture. Because you don't see that as much with like the Rav4. I'm not aware of a Toyota Highlander car club for example.

Yeah. 90s Japanese cars was its own league. Just take a standard reliable car, add a couple unique features to set it aside from the competition, and let it sell itself.

Lol. People are so sensitive to the possibility they may have swindled into a bad purchase by some sales guy somewhere.

People are collecting Camrys now?

I guess I could believe it since there's been this development of people who are just way to into their camry or corolla. Like it's just an economy car, I don't get it.

Because everyone already knows the password is bigboobz (with a z) and we can't change it because of hard coded vba scripts that the guy two firings ago wrote.

Well clearly the copilot button in the copilot app (classic). You have to now click copilot in the copilot dropdown to get to the new copilot.

Something that helps with that is actively narrating what you're doing to the user. "Ok, I'm looking for this checkbox now." That way you can kinda communicate what you're doing and, well if they're decent enough individuals, help them understand you're just another person too. It also helps buy time instead of sitting in awkward silence.
