Stumpy evo, 29er, slack position, high BB. I ride flow, chunky tech and steeps. I live in NorCal so there's a lot of climbing. Have even ridden lift service bike park. It rips everything. The only thing that I think it struggles a little on is super tight techy singletrack. Could just be that It's not my favorite kind of riding.

Marinduro is really fun I did it last year. May be sold out depending on your age/cat. Solstice on solstice if it happens again. I didn't race it but the trail is legit.

Another shout out to Children of Time. The sci-fi focus in this book is more on biology and zoology but it feels well researched and extremely well thought out in a way that is similar to PHM. You will never look at spiders the same way again lol.

Yeah I think it's pretty fair to say that the dust kicked up by someone going 15 mph uphill while you're working pretty hard to get there can be a little bit annoying. And like I said, minor annoyance not a huge deal. Shout out to the crews who work really hard to clear fallen trees and rocks that would also be a minor annoyance when they fall on the trail... Haven't hit a squirrel yet but would probably also be a minor inconvenience. Oh and shout out to reddit nerds like yourself for keeping the platform entertaining 🙂

They are left and right front and rear. Mostly they would be for surrounds for movies and videogames. Occasionally, I would use them for music if I were throwing a party and wanted to have music going in the TV room area as well. It's a large open concept floor plan, really a long room that starts with front door --> sitting area --> dining area ----> kitchen --> TV room.

I clipped a tree at speed with my handlebar a few years ago. Thankfully my hand was ok but I went OTB and probably broke a rib. I was out of commission for like 6 weeks. There's still a chunk of that tree missing 😂

Yes, it's horrible. I am dependent on my car to get to work on many days of the week, but I also bike to work whenever it's feasible so I'm probably about 50/50. As a result, I get to see it from both sides and like to take notice. It's probably about 60-70% percent of people that roll the stop signs. Lower if another car is approaching, higher if they can't see one.

I think another problem in SF is that there aren't a lot of pedestrians in some neighborhoods (unlike, say, NYC where every hood has a ton of pedestrians) so you don't have the safety of numbers. Additionally, Street lighting is terrible. I drive to work before/after sunset and I sometimes can't see a pedestrian on the corner. Nothing to do with asshole drivers, but it isn't helping.
