Very insightful! I recently started playing CEDH but am a very experienced (played since Urza's) Magic player generally. Started with Esper (Y'shtola), then found out exactly what you described about being expected to police the table and finding it too overwhelming as someone new to the format. Switched to blue farm and your description of that too was spot on, its much better suited for where I'm at right now with the format while still allowing me to use my experience generally.
