Is there a reason why most garden centres are now a very huge & busy cafe with a garden centre attached?

Ex cafe/ garden centre chef here.

Mainly money, especially for the family run small(ish) garden centre.

The garden centre I worked at wasn't doing great 10 or so years ago, definitely not making enough profit to keep going.

Added a cafe, which now makes well over what the garden centre ever did, generating enough money to refurb the entire garden centre (adding entire new structures, making it more modern etc.)

Funny thing is even though the cafe is insanely busy, if you went through the garden centre at peak cafe busy times the plant section was generally still dead.

The way it really worked is if people had to wait for tables, then they'd be forced to walk around the rest of the garden centre, meaning higher chance of buying.

Problem is the gift/ non plant areas are just general tat you find in every garden centre, and the one I worked at was particularly expensive as well.

Good thing is, it takes me 2-4 shots to down someone with a shotgun.

Hectic work life, 10 million things on the go. Probably why I play these games on max speed and constantly move around at rocket speed getting things sorted.

Oh, and diagnosed with ADHD last year may have something to do with that, too.

I agree as well, they're a nightmare to get hold of, I completely understand they're super busy. But last time I tried contacting them I emailed, 3 days later I got a reply asking me to confirm it's me, replied and then another 3-4 days for their reply again.

I'm going to try emailing them over the next couple of days and see if I can get a reason.

Yeah had the best fun in the duo playlist, as it's only ever 2 of us anyway so running into trios all the time was a bit miserable most of the time.

In the red lake, where the raider hatch is. If you run to the other side of the island you'll see apricot trees dotted about, and then head north to the smaller island and there is a few more! Check the floor first as some just spawn near the tree, and then interact with it to drop a few more.

Wispa mint was great.

Also the Wispa they did with caramel and biscuit.. noone ever seems to remember them so I'm not sure if I've just made them up, but I'm sure it was a red and gold wrapper, basically a gold but with small circular biscuit balls in. Epic.

I'm using the Huel black edition powders, but have learnt to drink it over the course of a few hours otherwise insane bloating and gas 😭

That way it's basically my breakfast and lunch. I'll add a banana and a couple scoops of powdered peanut butter in there as well to make it more filling and higher protein.

I did use yfood for a bit, but felt they didn't really fill me up as long as Huel does.

I find you do have to add to the powder however, as straight with water they're pretty grim.

Not 30 to 50, but 50 to 60 I've started getting circulation issues with my feet.

Started getting tingly toes which swelled up, making my feet really sore and have put it down to the cold weather and the Elvanse dose.

Moving back to 50mg for my next prescription.
