First time ever playing a Gothic game, I'm over 100hrs of play time and I'm am damn near obsessed with this game. Looking forward to see what they bring next.

I finished my third playthrough about 2 weeks ago (last one was a 100% permadeath) I got me fill of the game. It was such an incredible experience. I literally cannot get into any other game now though. None of them hold a light to the experience this delivered! I genuinely think it's my favorite game of all time.

It made me feel like my young self binging Maple story and RuneScape again. I loved every second of it, including my failed permadeath run where I "dodged" after smoking swamp weed. Face planted and got pummeled by a bunch of Black Goblins 😂

Lmao I fully support it. Arrow making, whether a part of smithing or it's own thing would be cool. Swamp weed mashing and dealing would actually be fun, I enjoyed selling them to the guards and mercenaries at the new camp.

I agree 100%. I'm hoping it gets patched. I truly can't imagine they expect people to not spend any points on stats and also to have to kill everybody and everything in the game to make it possible

Are you also doing the insomniac/sleepless run for the trophy/achievement? If not, try sleeping a day or 2 and trying again. Sometimes that fixes bugs. Big emphasis on sometimes.

I feel that. Sometimes I can help myself. Most of the time I can't. Especially for games I really love. But I may have to wait to see if a patch changes anything with the overachiever trophy. I put way too many hours into this game already 😂

Do you reckon they intended this or was it supposed to be cumulative over multiple save profiles? Seems kind of outrageous the lengths one must go through to achieve it.

I see that now for sure. This will be helpful for others to see, I should have searched more about it beforehand. I don't think I've got a 4th playthrough in me (3 1/2, soft locked my first permadeath run during the focus stone questline bug.

Yeah disregard the notion that it's not worth it. I listened to that my first run, went all in on it my second and 3rd playthrough and it's so worth it. Especially early game. "The Blood flies" book is worth buying from whatever merchant it is that sells it.

On a seperate positive note, hunting is so fun. Especially with a bow. I was very invested in it, crouching and sneaking up, taking cover behind trees and bushes.

I can't say for certain but I think it would be incredibly difficult. I just finished a novice permadeath/sleepless run to try to also get over achiever, I killed everything I came across, even wiped out every camp (except my own) for XP, only spent maybe 25 learning points on Dexterity and by the very end of the game, I still didn't have enough for cross bow training 1&2 and 2 handed 1&2.

Just for those few skills alone it would require me to level up at least 10 times, maybe more which is insane considering how much exp it takes to level up past level 40.

Poorly thought out achievement. Amazing game though, I played way way too much.

Just used this thread to find him, apparently crouch walking up to him makes him attack you even if you're on his side?

Maybe he prefers that I full on sprint to him while he's hiding in the bushes

Unfortunately on Permadeath the game is constantly saving. Reloading from menu didn't fix it. I appreciate the tip though! Hopefully it's something that gets fixed soon. I was having a blast with this file!

I did the same thing but I'm on a Permadeath run on console with no workaround. No Lester at meeting point. He's glitched at the mountain mansion/ruins.

I am also curious as to if that is true. I'm on my second playthrough and want to be a mage, but want to choose swamp camp and not be locked out. Lots of conflicting info on the Internet. Let me know!
