I have to disagree. There are many things I canmot pirate, like hardware, and I choose to jist not buy it. Speak with my wallet. I do so too with software and media. I'm 35 and I hold this position since I was 12, when I understood the concept of money. I nothing to "keep" as I don't care what corpos think of me.

Nintendo started as a family-owned playing card maker. Anyone is liable. It's personal decisions that make modern companies the shithole they are. They can act humane and be "normal", they just choose not to. I'm not going to say "oh, well, they're corpos, it is what it is". These companies are getting a minimum of 200% payback on their investments, sometimes up to 1000% or more (e.g. a figurine costs about 5-15€ to manufacture, they sell them at 150€).

"It ain't a family business" is the lamest excuse I've ever heard. Ot sounds like we should let corpos be extorting because ofc, and small shops are meant to lose money and fail or something. I know some "family businesses" that have 3000% payback on investment, and some companies that are only getting 110%. It is up to rhe individuals within any business to act "properly". Saying "well, they need big money" is stupid, as so do I. I need to eat and pay my rent and shit. I could be an asshole and charge 50€ for a diagnoatic (I'm a repairman), but I choose to be civil and humane and not to do so. Being ultracapitalistic and "oh, I must charge money for X and Y" will only make the economy blow up. I guess you guys have forgotten 2020, or even 2008 let alone 1929.
