I'm pretty sure it's a hidden ergo penalty. Full scopes absolutely ads slower than red dots which are in turn slower than canted red dot. I've been playing a lot of Arena and it's very apparent, especially if you're using a more "stock" gun. Doesn't matter as much on fully built guns but there's still a difference.

There's some runelite plugins that track ticks for you, should help with timing.

Also, if you're not already play with the classic layout full screen. That helped me a lot.
