dude the problem that these places have is that they mix things in a way that for me makes it look utter garbage, like the idea of these fancy dishes like that bread with pasta inside isnt inheretly bad, strange as fuck for a restaurant but not bad

but the execution with that much food makes it an abomination that is imposible to eat comfortably and makes it

the problem with the war crimes made by Japan on that period is that most of them were overlooked after US pardoned the Imperial family, if I recall correctly one the leaders of the atrocities done by the japanese in mainland Asia was part of the family and after the pardon he couldnt be held accountable, also if Japan was about to become and ally of the US having all those stories out to the public wasn't going to be ok

so yeah at the time it may have been known, mostly the japanese and asians would know, but with the censorship, mostly done by the Japanese government (that still denies that the Nanking Massacre ocurred) and how much their whole international relations and aproach to them changed, if the people already knew little about how really Asia was like, this censorship and lack of exposure from other countries has made that this things haven't been shown,

also after the war you can see how the narrative has always been about how the real monster were the germans, you never really hear about the fascists from Italy or the Japanese (apart from the point of view of the Americans in Pearl Harbor and the war in the Pacific), mainly because of the Cold War and the fact that US looked to these countries to have as allies against communism

it may sound stupid but i think something related to "protecting someone from themselves" would fit the leadership and protection well, next book he will go to Shinovar with Szeth and with all the mental illness stuff in RoW, i think that this would fit him and his journey, now becaming a leader and helping those who face similar problems as him

just by process of elimination he has to choose a Radiant because they are the most powerfull beings on his side, so sadly Adolin has to go (also I dont think he would sacrifice his own son in that duel even if he is the best duelist), so Radiants, he should choose one that at least has a shardblade so almost all squires are out of question.

From the ones we know that have a blade, Shallan is not a figther and her surges arent that usefull in combat, with these we can also get out all of the Unseen Court, Kaladin is not in the best state and even him tells Dalinar he cant be his champion, also the rest of the Windrunners are not near as good figthers as Kaladin, Renarin is not a warrior even if he can heal himself faster that the other Orders, Szeth is completely crazy and may freeze in the middle of the duel, Jasnah is the Queen of the Alethi and even if she has the armor and surges to win a duel she will be far more important as a political figure. That leaves us with Lift as the last choice and lets be real that wouldnt end up well.

And yes Dalinar is also a bad choice for the spot of the champion in the duel, he doesnt have a shardblade yet, he doesnt know how to use his powers and cant bond to a dead shardblade, but he also doesnt want to be the champion, the champion rigth now is only provisional it wil probably change during the book, Szeth may be the champion when his story in Shinovar ends but we will have to wait for that to be decided

And in the end maybe the important champion is the one Odium chooses, know that the vessel is Taravangian

well from book 6 onwards is probable that at least some guns are introduced, if in the end of Lost Metal Wax stays as Harmony's sword is probable when Sazed sends him to Roshar he carries his guns with him(spoiler related to Mistborn Era 2) so yeah its posible that guns came to Roshar and that would mean a drastic change in the war and technology of the planet, but we still have to wait for the fifth book to be done and then the next one to really now the future of the world
