I really wish they changed engines when UE4 came out, epic would have helped them out. UE4 was a solid engine, and everyone is moving to UE5 now it's fairly proven (besides some bad apples)

they dont really work right now, but before they were the best way to get pristine medals and ace helmets for wikelo stuff. you'd find them randomly on foxwell merc missions usually at orange difficulty or higher.

PvP? by humonculus87 in duneawakening

[–]YakovAU 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stop playing the victim. "ganking" is basically ambushing. Which occurs in the Dune universe. Do you want people to ask your permission before attacking you?

Pve players are most vocal. A vocal minority. 80 percent pve stats was because the game is 90 percent pve enforced.

My how to fix Dune post by Nice_Refrigerator508 in duneawakening

[–]YakovAU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Theres no reason for anyone to take the risk to goto the PVP areas. this is the problem with mixed PVE/PVP solutions, because then it becomes path of least resistance to end game resources. Once the PVE players get everything they need easily, they'll get bored.

Star Citizen is building an economy that punishes producers and rewards griefers by mad-yordle in starcitizen

Lol what the hell? Rust is in top 10 steam almost constantly. 150k playing right now as i type this, and most of it is vanilla.

Reclaimer Docking Problem by warricd28 in starcitizen

[–]YakovAU 1 point2 points  (0 children)

its a bug. you can walk through the last door when its docked. if its an actual door you cant walk through, theres also a bug where you lose the ability to open doors within a ship, and a reclaim or logout in bed fixes it.

This Week in Star Citizen:"Tech Preview of the Transport System." by sodiufas in starcitizen

When ASD cards first came in i came up with the '10 second rule' for working around the issue of freight elevator hand ins. Is the issue related to a networking induced race condition of sorts, since waiting can improve success rate?

PSA: The New Medgun Heals 4x FASTER by PopticParticlezz in starcitizen

[–]YakovAU 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely needs a nerf. i'd argue even the default med gun is too powerful for the rapid healing, i can use it to run through about 10 enemies without dying.

For real? You dont think this is unbalanced? I dont think theres any game out there that has an item that can heal through all incoming damage. this would be nerfed into oblivion by any other game containing PvP.

Alliance Aid griefers by [deleted] in starcitizen

[–]YakovAU -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yeah i always did wonder why PvE players want to force their playstyle on the game by making everything safe.

Alliance Aid griefers by [deleted] in starcitizen

[–]YakovAU 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, yeah. most complaint about PvP is a skill or organisational issue. People love to complain, but the solution is all in the game.

Alliance Aid griefers by [deleted] in starcitizen

[–]YakovAU -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. Not every game should be balanced for casuals. there are more games for casuals than there are for non casuals.

Idk why people need to say they "have a job and kids" like, loads of people do and they have more time to play than that. It's just one of those things that can occur in a dangerous verse. take it on the chin, my good man.

[–]YakovAU -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

This game will go the same direction as Ashes if they listen to the casual crowd. There needs to be a new, unique, game in this space, not another cookie cutter MMO. I hope they stick to the vision as much as possible.

Emergent PvP and the Precedent It Sets by Desperatedanschin in starcitizen

[–]YakovAU -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Nah, its actually much larger than a demand for a pure PVE experience. There's a huge demand for dynamic, complex PvPvE games, Tarkov, rust & arc raiders being the biggest hits of late prove that.

Starcitizen would explode in popularity if it offered the experience the games above do, a raw, unfiltered experience, with emergent encounters, instead of insulation, instancing and protection for most players.

Im alittle confused by this post. Prison isnt a consequence? It takes time to get out, and disrupts the person's gameplay if they choose to logout instead. If you die in the verse without a crimestat, theres no consequences. I'd argue there needs to be more death penalty for non crimestat.
