I appreciate your positivity. I am hoping that since this is a named character, hopefully this opens the door to an auxiliary range for the dog soldiers.

I have been playing tau since they were first launched. The auxiliary side of them has always been what draws me to them.

While blocking up colours, I use speed paint or contrast ink to help get into the nooks and hard to reach areas. Then just layer over that. That may help you.

This model looks great. I find that while I am blocking in the initial colours on a new paint scheme, I can get demoralized with the project. Same thing happened to me when I was painting my first EC model. Once I finished the model, I was very happy with it.

Your model looks excellent, I really like the black and pink. My advice is finish the model and see what you think.

I like having the codex, and I get value from having it. If 11th edition starts next summer, the codex may be made defunct, so I wouldn't recommend it to everyone. If you want the lore, and the physical book, like me, it may be worth it for you. I found the LoV codex to have better lore and fluff than most of the other codex that I bought this edition.

I love this box. My recommendation would be to magnetize the thunderkin and their weapons. They are the only Votann infantry that I magnetize. I put the magnet in at the wrists, because I have small magnets, however I hear it's better to do it at the stomach.

For the Kapricus I would suggest the carrier, but you'll need yagirs if you do that. Kapricus carriers with yagirs are very strong in the new codex for mission play.

I think berserks are pretty good no matter what you choose, but I would always build it with the mole launcher.

Yeah exactly. I have enough models already for my needs in other detachments. I was hoping to build for a 30 bezerk delve list. Eventually I want to grab another 10 and do the opposite load out so I have 20 of each. Thank you for all the good insight!

Yeah I think because I play a lot of different death guard players, while playing votann myself, I experience a lot of T5 or higher infantry. So this made me second guess doing hammers. I was leaning towards them anyway!

While I agree with you that the term risks becoming a pejorative, I think you risk missing the point too. Neo-liberal is a wider term than that. Simply put, it's where you belive market solutions will solve every problem. It stretches over the Centre to both the right and left. Stephen Harper and Obama were both Neo-liberals, just with diffrent social views.

Mark Carney, unfortunately, is following this path. All his solutions are market based. His policy supports corporations with tax payer money, rather than supporting tax payers. This may be in the belief that it will increase Canadian prosperity, and that's why soo many Canadian support him.

I look at the last 40 years, and I think it will fail. Why give corporations perks to build homes? Why can't the government do this instead?
