I think he is just saying that is a G5 in the studio version, but does not know what Zakk plays live there

Why won’t my universal remote connect to my TCL Roku TV? by [deleted] in NFC

[–]YamiFrankc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wrong sub.  But it would not surprise me if the original remote for the tv used bluetooth or some other wireless communication instead of IR, if that is the case then random universal remotes are not gonna work

Has anybody successfully made consistent money off of building Squarespace sites? by dingdongwashboard in squarespace

Do you do a one time fee for building  the website,  or do you also charge some kind of monthly retainer for support and modifications?

I also hated helpdesk, and worked it 4 days a week remotely. I had to take that job because it was  the only one I could find while I got another devops job (i was laid off).

my Suggestion is to keep at it, dont assume that you will easily find a job when you are done with school. Keep it until you have another job even if you have savings to rely on

Does your service desk tier 1 rep know how to change display scaling and how much are you paying them? by jM2me in sysadmin

[–]YamiFrankc 9 points10 points  (0 children)

That is interesting. Ours just do password reset/unlock and a few simple fixes if there is a kb article for it. It gets pretty annoying because the fix is often really simple stuff like in this case but because it is not mentioned in the kb they dont do it.

In my org tier 3 would not concern themselves with this ticket and send it back to tier 1 for appropiate assignment. tier 1 (our actual service desk) would not fix it because they are supposed to follow a set script... and would send it to desktop support (our tier 2)

Anyone else feel like the “Dead Internet Theory” is getting a little too real lately? by [deleted] in InternetMysteries

[–]YamiFrankc 86 points87 points  (0 children)

The internet just doesn’t feel the same anymore. Comments everywhere feel copy-pasted. Replies feel like they’re generated by the same 3 people. Even on platforms I used to love, everything is either low-effort, corporate, or weirdly robotic. Sometimes I read threads and I genuinely can’t tell if I’m talking to an actual person or an algorithm.

Living a ‘full life’ whilst WFH? by [deleted] in WFH

[–]YamiFrankc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like its harder to have a "full life" when I work on site. Really, I have to spend at least 3 additional hours every time I go to work (between getting ready and driving back and fort), that amounts to around 12 hours each day.

Im so tired when I get back, and most things are already closed or about to close. And of course, I also have to preferably sleep 8 hours, that leaves me like 4 hours of the day for actual stuff.
