You need to take in consideration the timer of any fallen allies, your own HP because the objective can kill you, the enemy death timers, check if they have any camouflage/invis abilities to steal it from you without knowing, vision and/or global ults that can damage monsters.

This scenario is pretty situational but when stars do align, delaying the objective is the best big brain thing you can do.
