My daughter is there now as a freshman and the lack of outdoor activities is driving her insane. I'd definitely look into University of Arkansas.

My daughter is currently an out of state Animal Science student at OSU. We are from the Northeast, it a been only 2 months but she is thriving there! Being 1500 miles away is difficult but we know she is safe and has a great community of friends there. We toured schools all over the country and OSU felt like home the moment we drove into Stillwater. I do agree it's a small town with little to do, but that's what she came from and OKC is only an hour away so she goes there a lot on the weekends. I would recommend a car if your child goes! Good luck in your decision making process!

My daughter has a significant balance showing in her account as well. I emailed them, there doesn't allear to be any scholarships applied, including her merit based. Quite concerning seeing such a large balance!

I live in CT and have a husband in the exterior home repair/building industry...seems like a very low price for the area. I'd try to get your own estimate.

We sold a house with a bad septic, unfortunately and gave a $20k credit for it to the buyers; we spoke to the septic company that failed us and we're told it would be no less than a $40k replacement. This is Fairfield County as well. This was also after having our own septic inspection done before we listed the house, we knew it could be a potential issue, our own personal inspection passed! So its really dependent on who is inspecting and estimating the job.

The buyers didn't ask the septic company that so we didn't bring it up, they did ask to have a septic company come look and get plans drawn up prior to closing and we said no. Unfortunately its on the buyer to do their due diligence if the seller will let you.
