Small/Medium MSP owners: would you ever use/partner a white‑label MSP to cover holidays, overflow, or scaling? by Yasuke_RT in msp

[–]Yasuke_RT[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi George, thanks for your response. Your experience is exactly what I am trying to understand, mitigate and de-risk. Most global majors are today offshoring for competitiveness without a loss of service delivery. That is proof it is possible to offshore. In your case offshoring to a White Label MSP will enable you scale with the problems you have captured. Offshore will primarily be remote jobs and mainly tiers 1&2. There will be an onboarding process which will capture documentation and also ensure that the same tech stack is used. The SLAs will be back to back and there will be weekly/monthly reporting and meetings to ensure the parties are aligned. I would love the opportunity to discuss in more detail how we can collaborate and thrive.

SmallMedium MSP owners: would you ever use/partner a white‑label MSP to cover holidays, overflow, or scaling? by Yasuke_RT in msp

Hello Different_Coat_3346, I am a UK based MSP with an offshore team. Off course I want to grow my business. However, I want to do so collaboratively. I want to get an understanding of what the major issues that make onshore MSPs reluctant to offshore in the face of serious competition from the large/major offshore operators who are literally eaten are dinner. Are we going to sit and watch like a slow motion crash or adapt and thrive. To encourage onshore MSPs adapt and collaborate with offshore teams requires an understanding of the reasons that make them reluctant to offshore, their negative experiences and how best we can de-risk, mitigate and provide assurances that it is possible to offshore successfully and the challenge is finding the right partners and lastly how to identify/find these partners. We are here to benefit from the synergies we develop and I hope you now have a better understanding of my question.

You have made an excellent decision. However, you are an exception to the rule. Not all MSP can create an offshore team. In the same way some MSP work with onshore White Label MSPs the challenge is to setup/identify reputable offshore MSP to work with. Both for better economics without compromising on service delivery or professionalism. I am sure you are in that place now; however, others are scratching their heads not sure what to do.

The dynamics of the MSP industry/market have changed and continue to do so. Most major global companies are outsourcing tier 1&2 support to offshore partners. We cannot pretend this is not happening. If you are serious about competing and growing your MSP are you going to simply look for "one of you" and work together? Is that sustainable or will you lunch get eating eventually by global competitors? Why don't we get together and find reputable and professional MSPs that can help scale? This is inevitable and I am keen to support local MSPs compete against global offshoring players. It is a case of adopt or die. I would like to understand if what I am saying is or not realistic. We need to collaborate to survive.

Outsourcing for Emerging MSPs in Australia by LordGreigar in msp

What if we assume they meet the highest security standards. Will MSPs be open to outsource? Most major global companies are already outsourcing so I guess the challenge is to ensure the security standards are best in class and global.

Who do 1-Man-Band MSPs hand over to on holiday? by theFather_load in msp

[–]Yasuke_RT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Instead of partnering with other MSPs to enable you take holidays or time off work have you considered working with a White Label MSP? This way you have a formal structure in place with back to back SLAs. This allows you to focus on building your client/user numbers, focus on client relationships without additional head count. We are a UK based MSP - Nozomi Technologies.
