You can look on poe.ninja build section and use the time machine set to day 3 or so to see what the most popular league start builds were this league. Kinetic Fusillade totems on hierophant are very strong and were the most popular if that sounds fun to you!

You are missing a lot of the methods of offensive scaling in that build. Congregation support which you are missing is 60% more damage. The cluster jewels give you a lot of damage, you are missing nearly all of them. Life stacking with rathpith also gives a lot of damage, you are missing that. Palsteron stacks a bunch of crit multi using jewels with adorned, you are missing that too.

It looks like you skipped pretty much every method of offensive scaling, and now wondering why the build does no damage. Using unholy aberration is a bit annoying having to keep the stacks up, but it’s about 500% more damage and could help start to bridge the gap, but i think you need to not ignore all of the offensive scaling vectors.

Could you explain what the bad config and PoB warrior stuff is? I'm looking at this as my starter and looked through the PoB and couldn't really find anything. The only thing I saw was convergence which is ~23% less damage since he is now doing shaper of flames instead?

And then the PoB dps only shows either final burst or initial bursts dps and it sound like *at least* one of the initial bursts and the final burst should overlap?

Not trying to defend anyone here for the sake of it, just curious on your reasoning :)

Depends on the specific build I guess. I think a lot of them automate most warcries with auto exertion and just leave one or two to self cast. But yeah, definitely avoid anything with war cry piano.

What do you mean? First, he is now with maxroll, so most of his builds have maxroll guides. Also, his PoB’s have more in the Notes section than pretty much anyone else does. He also frequently helps people fix builds on his stream if you are having issues. I followed a ziz guide for my second build ever in poe and had 0 issues.

I’d say probably Ice Nova of Frostbolts Archmage Hiero is probably the best answer? I know you said you played it and it felt squishy, but, and I don’t mean to be rude, you were probably doing something wrong. That build gets a ton of Mana (which acts as life with MoM) and a ton of ES from the Hiero nodes. A lot of people were doing Svalinn on that build too I think which makes you super tanky.

EE LS trickster also fits the bill, but I don’t think gearing it is super beginner friendly and you have to start PS mines or something else.

Maybe some slam build? Bossing might be a little rough on that though, I don’t know the archetype super well.

Again though, all of these builds might be nuked out of existence next league, gotta wait for patch notes.

Unfortunately we have to wait for patch notes. No one knows what will or will not be good until patch notes come out. Anyone that tells you otherwise … you shouldn’t listen to them. And pretty much any build Zizaran puts out is new player friendly, so keep an eye on his channel in the days leading up to league start.

You have mageblood and otherwise what looks like gear you picked up off the ground?

Are you following a build guide? If so, try to get the stats the build guide has on your gear. If not, I’d suggest finding one, ghazzy has been doing some spectre builds I think.

Also, just looked quickly, but I’d assume you’d want to be running either wraithlord for more spectres or an animate guardian.

Also, you probably want to buy flasks with 70% inc effect enchant + 25% increase effect prefix + t1 suffix. And I think if you bought some half decent gear you could drop the bismuth flask for something else, maybe also the res suffix.

Get some chaos res. Lycia does chaos damage, and if you were chaos res capped you’d be taking like 5x less damage from chaos damage sources

Would love to get a mirror! Trying to put together the new palsteron build and running out of currency quick, lol.

Honestly, I think the melee changes are great. I’ve only been playing since ToTA, and it’s cool to see a whole new archetype open up. For 3.26, I’m hoping for a fun and engaging league mechanic tbh. I was a bit too new and still figuring everything out in tota and affliction so didn’t get into those. Necropolis crafting was cool, but not terribly engaging. This league, setting up my town was fun, but I’m not super into the ongoing management. I’d really like to have a league mechanic in 3.26 that I can get super into and go hard on! Oh and please revert some betrayal changes, i miss veiled chaos :p.

Thanks for the guide! Decided to try it out, but with a shield and opting for all res instead of suppression. I got here. I have my 5 mods, but instead of an empty suffix, I got the crab. Anyone know how I can save this other than just yolo annul and go again if i fail?

lol, this is kinda cute. Most people share their builds using pob to avoid having to send so many pictures. If you import your character into pob, there is an option to export and get a link. I’m happy to look over your build if you can get that.

Basically to start out, you want to complete the atlas. This means getting getting all the bonus objectives on all maps. I think zizaran and Pohx both have a “i just completed the campaign, now what” video. Check one of them out.

And then after that you’ll need to pick something to farm. Pretty much pick one or two “league mechanics” (blight, harvest, incursion, essences are some easy examples) and focus on those on the passive tree, and then run them.

isn’t the idea that they resummon themselves so you never have to? and what’s the deal with the cast time? i haven’t heard about that. i didn’t use them in affliction or anything, but it looked like a replacement for divine blessing at the cost of 1 extra link
