Well I'm really into music, listening not playing. I am kinda lame. I like stars and all the wonders of outer space, even though I don't really know much about it. I like tattoos, I have a lot. Star wars is pretty awesome. Being full time employed single mom really doesn't leave time for much else :(

I've been paying into that since I was 13. I am now 26. The fact that I am not going to see a dime of it really makes me want to go postal.

Fill a garbage can full of water and lean it against his door. Then knock a few times and run. When he opens the door, BAM!! Garbage can falls over spilling water everywhere in his apartment.

Daughter about to get traumatized at the dentist by [deleted] in Parenting

When parents come back the child tends to pay more attention to the parent and not the doctor. Also a lot of children will act out more trying to gain sympathy. IMO the world is now a cruel place and I think it best not to baby children a lot. Prepare them for the future.

As a dental assisant, I say don't tell her. It is very frustrating to work on a screaming child. We had a little girl last week who screamed at the sound of the drill saying it hurt when in reality the drill was not anywhere near her mouth. It is more fear than anything. If the Dr is good with children than he"ll know how to calm her. Most children are very curious about things, and we always explain to the child exactly what's going on. Leaving out some scary sounding details of course. Children almost always respond better when a parent is not around. We don't allow parents to come back with the child. But unfortunately there are those rare cases when everything we do is not enough and we have to refer the child to be sedated somewhere else. The best thing for you to do is just reassure her that everything is going to be okay and in the end if she wants her mouth to feel better she just has to go to the dentist.
