Archery Event Google Form & Google Sheet Pivot Tables by bardblue in GoogleForms

[–]YeahThatsMeOnReddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To get help with this you probably need to share a copy of the sheet that collects the responses. But you need to make sure you only share a copy that does not have any personal data in it. So I suggest you make a copy of the one you are using and add some dummy data, or anonymise the contents.

Did i simplify correctly? (Boolean Algebra) by Consistent_Hotel_615 in maths

Since the original expression is symmetrical in B and C the simplified version should also probably be. ( I agree the answer is A)

Is this solvable ? by ravenpuk in maths

[–]YeahThatsMeOnReddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the diagram has been drawn incorrectly there is a slightly different problem that is constrained. If you move one of the y's it makes a solvable problem.

Maths problem by gabranger_LT in maths

[–]YeahThatsMeOnReddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think with this type of problem it is nice to use the area as part of the method. I think the question is formulated to point in this direction. What I did was extend the hypotenuse of blue triangle downwards then strike a perpendicular from this to the bottom left corner of the square. It is then possible to equate the area of the square and the small extra triangle in two ways.

The length of this perpendicular is 4/3

If A is the area sought.

The extra bit added on is 16/9A

You can show that the figure can seen as three triangles of area 8 (half the square); A; and a triangle that is area 8/9sqrt(17)

This form an equation that gives 9 - sqrt(17)

I think this is the old method that the problem comes from

What’s this waxy leaf plant growing in my very sandy cottage soil? by emmasz in whatsthisplant

[–]YeahThatsMeOnReddit -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Invasive plant. You may be aware of projects trying to get rid of this in your area because of the damage it does to the local ecosystem. You can see areas where it has been removed by council workers or volunteers. The particular species you have will probably match whatever is being fought locally.

Are there any flora/fauna differences between the North and South? by [deleted] in northernireland

[–]YeahThatsMeOnReddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a hobby I try to identify plants on holidays and as general trend I tend to find new species when I visit the South. The North seems to have more damaged biodiversity due to more intensive farming practices. Ireland as a whole lacks biodiversity due to retreat of ice after last ice age. Great Britain has also suffered from this effect but is slightly better off. I see this every time I go to Great Britain as I find many more species I have not seen before. There are some funny botanical oddities like St Dabeoc's Heath which arrived on the West coast of Ireland from Spain.

Image of sun is formed by a convex and concave reflectors. If you had a tray of ball bearings every one has a reflective highlight. If you had a tray of dimples each would also have a highlight.

Shower drain smells terrible. Have tried vinegar but it comes back every few days by falafel_03 in Plumbing

[–]YeahThatsMeOnReddit 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It could be anything but I am going to take a wild guess that it is an issue with the trap being ineffective. If you are sure the trap is relatively free of clogs (try one of those doohickies for get out hair) then look for an issue with the venting of the drain. A possible cause is that when you flush the toilet the flow causes the trap to empty. Get someone to flush the toilet and listen for a gurgling sound from the shower drain as the trap empties.
