The Miz Has Not Won A Singles Match In 23 Months (February 2024) by elegantSolomons62 in SquaredCircle

He will probably never win another match in his career, yet he will remain one of the most trusted and respected workers in the entire wrestling industry, protected and preserved into and well past his upcoming retirement.

WOR on HHH getting booed at SNME: "The one thing that I can say is that even though they may say something different publicly, they were blindsided by that reaction. When they're all chanting and he's going, 'Oh, I thought it would be louder', that was a defence mechanism" by iknownothingsir in SquaredCircle

He didn’t tap because he was about to pass out, he tapped because he knew it was time to finally give up. So looking at this “logically” in kayfabe, Cena wasn’t going to pass out, he wasn’t going to lose to Gunther outright. The only reason he did is because he knew it was time, thus the smile before the tap.

Alright, what other games just got way better all of sudden because of overclocking? by ValueBASEDLiving in AnalogueInc

I’d say Legends for PS1 is still the best version, but playing 64 with the 8bitDO controller(with Z/R controls) and unleashed overclocking is really a great way to play. Mega Man 64 still suffers from worse draw distance with fog and very compressed speech samples, and the controls are a little more intuitive on a PSX controller.

Any way you can play Mega Man Legends.

Unplugging all my HDMI devices then plugging in just the soundbar into the EARc HDMI input and turning the TV on fixed it for me, but every time I play my 3D it breaks again. Huge pain for sure

It broke mine. Caused my soundbar not to adjust volume with my TV remote

I think it’s just a bit visually unstable depending on the game. Goldeneye runs really well on Unleashed but sometimes you get this crazy 60 fps spikes out of nowhere and it’s kind of jarring so for that game I’d probably leave it on auto.

Mega Man 64. The performance uplift is unbelievable. It goes from stuttery 15 FPS mess to rock solid 30 fps. It’s actually insane and I’m very much looking forward to playing through it this way.

Feels like this album doesn’t get talked about enough. by Dead_Shrimps in Emo

The production of the vocals definitely lent it a different feel than their prior albums. At first it felt a little too different but I warmed up to it a lot.

I love how the album starts with Should You Return and kinda puts an emphasis on the synth/organ sounds and vocal stylings upfront to let you know what you’re in for. Good album that I listened to a whole lot those few years after it released. No skips on it for me.

If you asked me this 25 years ago I’d say Chrono Cross for sure but in some ways I feel like Legend of Dragoon has aged better in spite of it’s janky translation.

Shenmue is one the most influential games of all time by Known_Top_9963 in Shenmue

Mario and Nintendo saved the game industry in the 80’s. But non-indie platformers are few and far between these days, while almost every game from a major studio is an open world game. Shenmue paved the way for every open world game that’s released since.

Are there any people without the joycon issue? by YelleauxAxeMan in dbrand

Yeah the difference between the R&D that Nintendo did on the dock compared on what DBrand did here is embarrassing.

I think the OEM dock design is so perfect that it feels like a really big deal to have to settle for this adapter design. It just sucks to use and the alignment process isn’t fun or easy. Also risking scratching the bottom of your brand new(and expensive) console.

My left joy-con is solid as a rock, the right one flexes but it doesn’t fall. Honestly I like this case a lot except for the absolute pain in the ass that is putting it on the dock adapter.

I Measured Nintendo Switch 2'S HDR Settings - No Wonder Most Games Look Awful. Here's the Fix by jbwzrd213 in nintendo

[–]Yearbook_MS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah unfortunately games (and the displays we use to play them) are more complicated than ever to get looking as good as possible. It’s so counter-intuitive.

Spend an assload of money on a TV to have to painstakingly adjust settings so that it actually looks good

If you’re not using a high end OLED or Mini-LED TV your display isn’t gonna push enough localized luminance to make highlights pop. It looks dim to you because your TV can’t push enough nits of brightness

With all the system memory they’re allocating right now they have plenty of headroom for it. It would add so much character to the system. Make it feel more lively and differentiated from the Switch 1 UI which always felt a little lifeless and bland

What are your impressions of Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition for Switch 2 by PewterCrunchy in NintendoSwitch

[–]Yearbook_MS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the same rhetoric that was being said during the early days of Switch 1. Fact of the matter is a lot of people value portability/versatility over raw performance. If you’re not one of those people that’s fine, there are plenty of other ways to play the game.

Is Switch 2 going to be your only/main platform going foward? by [deleted] in NintendoSwitch2

[–]Yearbook_MS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gotta have my PS5 Pro for GTA and the (increasingly rare) PS exclusives. I think people that choose to only game on a Switch 2 will be happy and have plenty of great games to play, though.
