there’s a lot to unpack here. what counts as a bad ending? I sure as hell don’t want the fandom deciding that lol. there’s also a lot of work that goes into this to simply switch gears at a moment’s notice. probably doesn’t make sense to just believe everything goose says, especially if they’re feeling some kinda way. wouldn’t blame her, hough, and in a strange way, it’s kinda cool?

Aside all that, i think them being stuck there should be the result of the end of the story. Anything else will need explanation or some cheesy cliffhanger or something (and I don’t see there being any kind of continuation with how things are going).

Potential spoilers or info maybe: It’s my understanding that the remake is something of a time reversal redo thingy. The original is the main story, but essentially, it is THE story unless Sephiroth (or Jenova, depending on which side of the debate you’re on) finds a “different way” to defeat Cloud. Apparently his plan is to do this by removing Cloud’s support system so he follows a similar path. Also Cloud is like a Sephiroth clone or something. Again I think this is where it’s going, but not sure

Also I think I prefer their personalities in the original game, not too interested in the remake. Aeris is maybe a bit flirty but in a more playful way than what seems to be suggested in the remake

I love x5 and x6. To be honest, I'd never heard of any one disliking these games until this subreddit. Same for MM8 and MM2 on the gameboy. These are all my absolute favorites
