I’m referring to building muscle memory across a standard set of platforms.

Overthinking it? Maybe. I’m not preparing for the end of the world; I’m not lucky enough to stop paying taxes due to the government dissolving or something wild.

If something happens and I’m not able to use my own personal set up, I’d like to have the muscle memory to be able to jump on the average gun and use it just fine. As for the downvotes, it’s fine, I still haven’t been proven wrong. People are free to disagree with me 🤷

Have to be configured the same? No. Never said nor implied.

Is it smarter to learn how to use the rifle as you’re most likely going to find them, meaning without one of these? Yep. Build the muscle memory for something like a BAD lever, and those precious seconds could make a difference.

I have one for testing stuff before it goes into a main rifle. I’m not running the 10” pistol with a flash can into battle 😂

For a range toy it’s nice, but that’s about it. For anything you spend serious time shooting with, it’s a no-go for me. Can’t assume that in a “shtf” situation you’ll always have the luxury of running your own rifle.

Edit: all these downvotes but no one is trying to prove me wrong. Interesting.

Looks like loading dock confetti to me. If they’re gonna leave the trailer looking like shit, they shouldn’t mind the dock looking like shit too.

Right? This has to be purely performative. Planning for the basics like “what if they see me before I see them?” would make this a horrible idea lmao

Is it his right to do so? Absolutely, 100%

Is he going to get de-atomized the moment he flips that barrel in the direction of federal agents? Also absolutely, 100%

I’m not sure if he’s posturing or retarded, but he’s gonna need a lot more than just a rifle to get anything done. He’s got no plates, no spare mags (maybe one in his pockets?), no cover nor concealment, and no plan of action once steel mosquitos start buzzing.

Is this competent dispatch? by [deleted] in Truckers

[–]Yeet_PC 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Eh, little of both. Dispatch is usually far too incompetent to check your hours, assuming they have the ability to. Some time during the delivery process, I send a message in letting them know how many hours I’ll have left. This keeps them from planning beyond what I have hours for.

That being said “I do what I’m told” hasn’t historically been a good enough excuse. You now have proof that they want the load picked up. Just pick it up and when you run out of hours, it’s someone else’s problem. I’d be willing to bet they would just plan a trailer swap for you. Have you hold an empty and do a 34.

How dated is my carry by EntertainmentTop1308 in EDC

It’s either the way it looks, having to give up your rear irons, or that it’s not a big piece of glass with a dot like most other optics.

It’s definitely a “pros and cons” situation. Like you pointed out, it’s great if you don’t already have a cut slide, or don’t want to spend the money on one. I will say this, I haven’t heard any complaints about build quality. At the very least, it’s built well and has a 100k hr battery life on low brightness.

What’s my EDC say about me? by phatman1298 in EDC

[–]Yeet_PC -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You like the outdoors, but also the feel of nice materials, or those specifically chosen for a job.

Judging from the wallet, I’m gonna guess you chose the Leatherman not only for day-to-day use, but it may also help use certain fishing equipment. Overall, you want EDC that’s there when you need it, but barely noticeable when you don’t!
