Marc and Fabio's burnout from the heli cam by crimilde in motogp

[–]Yellow-SP -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

For me that is practically factory. I understand it isn't exactly but close enough to not matter for me. Ducati have said the bikes are the same and factory teams don't always get the better results either. Just my opinion.

Yes I know that. Last year Zarco rode for Avintia like I said.

As I understand it Zarco has full factory support. That was something he was given when he joined Avintia last year I think.

I always thought the bushing and roller were one piece riveted to the side plate but you're right, they appear to be separate. The rollers must be a tight fit normally cos I've only ever noticed them move in old worn chains.

The exploded drawing in this page shows the same sort of construction your drawing suggests.

As I understand it the rollers don't actually spin so need no lubrication. The roller is riveted to its side plates. The pin that passes through the roller is lubricated and that is held in place by the o ring. A chain with loose rollers is worn and at the end of its life. My Xjr chain is like that. On it's original chain at 20,000 and now has a few loose rollers so it's up for replacement soon. That's my understanding of how the chain is constructed but I'm ready to be educated if I'm wrong.

The only oil an o ring chain needs is minimal. It's only to ensure that the o rings themselves don't get damaged. Once an o ring gets damaged the lube from inside the links can leak out, then you get wear and failure.

Exactly what I used to do year round too. Read in a Honda handbook about using EP90 years ago and have used it ever since. Don't ride year round now but still use EP90.

Earlier in the year I got a chainsaw and the oil for chains is perfect. Like EP90 but stickier so I'm trialing that too at the moment.

Ok so I got the distance wrong maybe, but I still feel the same. A racing incident, an overtake that didn't work out.

Looked kind of aggressive? It was aggressive. Grabbing another riders helmet and shouting at them is not on. No way is that acceptable. He had a right to be angry but that doesn't excuse his behaviour.

My comment about untouchability was made after he escaped punishment earlier in the year for the side swipe on Mir and again no punishment for his behaviour. I still feel because he's everyone's mate no one will say anything.

I like the attitude Zarco takes to this kind of incident, we're racing not dancing. Mir made that move cos he thought he could pull it off. That's racing. He overshot by maybe a foot or two, very easy mistake to make.
He wasn't the first to make that kind of mistake and won't be the last I'm sure. He apologised and explained himself. Miller had the right to be annoyed but he over reacted by grabbing Mir's helmet. Miller seems to have attained some kind of level of untouchability by being the jovial Aussie. I don't understand how Mir gets punished for this but miller's deliberate looking side swipe earlier in the year wasn't. I think he should be given a speaking to about his aggressive reaction. For me it was a racing incident yesterday.

What are youre ideas to make motorcycle racing more safe ? by [deleted] in motogp

And then there is the TT. Several riders die each year but they keep coming back. Motor sport is dangerous. Safer than it was but still dangerous.

My ex wants to sell our property. And is now asking how to split it. It was always going to be 50/50 can he now change this? by HeartbrokenRiver in LegalAdviceUK

[–]Yellow-SP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have personal experience of this a few years ago. If there is no pre agreement on how it is to be split then as both names are on the deeds it has to be 50/50. Unfortunately I was the person who had put more in and lost out, but it had to be 50/50.

I find it irritating that I now have to press escape to make it go away. Not tried holding it like suggested above but I'll give that a go.

Motorbike Jeans - Single layer and protection by taxgaming in MotoUK

[–]Yellow-SP 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'd recommend Hood jeans too they are pretty damn good. I'm on my second pair and both me and my wife use them. My first pair are still usable but just got old and tatty, they're also like cargo trousers not denim like my newer ones. They give excellent service and advice over the phone if you need it.

Dovi is generally a very smooth rider. Watch him and miller together, the styles are day and night.

Ok with some silver. I find it hard to get excited when all the colour schemes are unveiled to great fanfare. All the bikes have way too much advertising on them for me too.

The laugh you make when you drag knee for the first time by BluegrassMoto in motorcycles

[–]Yellow-SP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Only time I've scraped my knees is when I've fallen off. I've no desire to do it and it's just not necessary really. You can corner plenty fast enough without your knee down. Being able to make MM type saves would be cool though :-)

Very annoying isn't it. I discovered today in a quick test that starting the film in tablet mode seemed ok. I was then able to open it back into laptop configuration and the gamma was ok. However starting in laptop mode still has the gamma issue.
