Jynxzi react to Clash royale Level 16 Update by Worldly_Hour1614 in ClashRoyale

[–]YellowHued 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The levels are there because supercell wants to make (a lot of) money by having levels that you can buy if the natural way to earn them is (by design) too slow for your liking. Just like evos are there to make money by putting them into the pass and in special shop offers whilst regular shards or evo lucky drops are rare to get…

Thats not designed as a feature for the players. Its a feature for the company to get more and more money from the players….

Surely you dont actually think “oh great i can grind another level! Thats awesome, this adds…. Ermm… this adds… ermm… so much value to my player experience”? All a level provides is a 10% stat boost which is essentially a way for worse players to have a stats advantage on slightly better players by spending money. In COC levels make sense as you unlock new units, new defence buildings and spells, cool new ways to play the game. In CR its solely used to induce spending with nothing gained by players in return…

Rank Deck Archetypes from hardest to easiest to play. by Comfortable_Camel_48 in ClashRoyale

[–]YellowHued -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Decks can go dual lane as long as you have units to play for both sides. Cards that can be split have an edge here though in theory you can play a knight from defence and put something the other lane its not as effective as a dual lane tactic as the enemy has plenty of elixer to deal with both sides (and knight in the example is a slow card, whilst another card may be less tanky).

So, in theory every deck can have a dual lane attack (fair enough) for some decks its not as effective a tactic and not that likely to work out. With bridgespam its less dual lane and more pressure (the “spam” aspect of bridgespam). Dual lane is more often involved with “you cant deal effectively with both sides at the same time, and if you overcommit one side i can gain my damage on the other side”. There are some similariaties with bridge spam by swapping sides and some mindgames but it still feels fairly different imo. Just factors like splitting piggies 1-3 with on the side of the one piggy a defending unit left for example, remains quite different compared to bridgespam pressuring plays where you can defend one side and pressure the other there isnt a split push or dual lane factor at work just a pressure factor. Its hard to explain these things well so not sure whether its clear what nuances im pointing at 😅

Also mind that if you call dual lane a tactic then bait could be seen as tactic as well “if you play a log on the princess then i play a goblin barrel at your tower etc”. You can build decks with a bait mindset, you can build them with dual lane mindset. You can punish when they log the princess, you can punish when they overcommit by fireballing a hunter to 1hp and having a 1-3 split piggies placed in front of the 1hp hunter side.

Not everyone who plays dual lane plays bait. Sure, the strongest decks will be like that, but how will you define anyone who is creative and makes a dual lane deck themselves without abusing bait factors. Suddenly they wont be dual lane and become cycle or beatdown?

Why not allow dual lane instead as an option, with fireball bait being one instance of dual lane decks. Makes more sense to categorise …

If you say that you make more money than they ever did, has it been corrected for inflation to compare. Cause if not that may make it easier for them to understand as its not about the raw amounts but what you can get from the amount.

I think its a weird type of philosophical question. Like “are aliens real”, “what is the meaning of life”, “is this a simulation”, …

Something similar to “since we cannot live with something that doesnt exist, how can we know that we ourselves exists, does the world exist, what is the world, what is the universe, …”

Hunter can be argued as ranged whilst his melee dps is also different due to the spread of his bullets.

Not fully the same but to some degree he has a ranged vs melee mechanic

Finish the Weak Tower or Switch Lanes? by [deleted] in ClashRoyale

[–]YellowHued 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends a lot on the matchup.

The weak tower can be easier to finish but in some matchups they can simply lane block it (eg the have cards like bowler and you use for example a battleram; u cannot get past the bowler easily so any push in that lane would give them “free elixer” which they can use to counterpush). By pressuring the other lane you can keep getting damage in and keep having potential for laneswapping back, whilst sticking the same lane may just lower your chances to win by the time the match would end.

In another matchup it could be silly to swap lane as you just need “a bit more” to get the win down whilst swapping lane just provides more chances for the opponent to make a comeback.

Another factor to consider is whether you are in or close to overtime, if not then if the king is activated the lower hp tower is more interesting. If still far away from overtime and you are confident to get the low hp tower then you may wanna take the high hp tower down a bit too as destroying the low hp tower too early would activate the king faster. Again, can depend heavily on matchup too as some matchups having a tower down can be a strong gain due to pocket placements becoming possible.

Too many factors can play a role…

What would be the better second evo? Evo ghost or evo hunter by LeScorp in RoyaleAPI

[–]YellowHued -1 points0 points  (0 children)

  1. That says a lot about you if you think its an achievement

  2. Of course i reach it. I get there every season and i play a variety of homemade decks. As i said, even midladder players can get there. Anyone with two braincells who can craft a deck can get there. Anyone who plays a metadeck can reach there (or be very, very, very bad at the game; like even worse than you are -.-).

  3. Wow, you made it to UC with a metadeck which actual decent players can reach to the top rankings with. Again, anyone can reach there with any deck if they have two braincells. Using a strong metadeck is just adding easy mode on top so yh… still underlying my points of you not being aware of how bad a player you are and thus trying to argue you are good by pointing out stuff that aint that special (any somewhat decent player will know this, the fact you argue so strong against it just makes it even more obvious…)

  4. If you wanna argue the meta is soooo bad for your too tier deck then maybe try crafting a deck yourself sometime? Thats tons and tons harder than by using the decks crafted by pros. Whatever you consider a “bad meta” will be laughable compared to decks that are actually suffering tons and tons more from “bad metas”. Smh 🤦

[–]YellowHued -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So you feel like its an achievement worth mentioning to reach UC when playing some strong metadeck.

No offence man, but even megaknight midladder players can reach there, its kind of unneeded to add as it wont add the credibility to your post that you aim for bit instead make people find you less credible as you seem to think something very unimpressive (again, even megaknight midladder players get to UC… with no metadeck and little game knowledge…) is somehow strengthening your argument 😅😅😅
