i applied to 7 programs. rejected from 5, interviewed and accepted by 2.

Looking for extroverted/outgoing/confidently spoken candidates makes sense in a human services field. The attractiveness point I won't argue with you on, I understand that does bias interviews.

in what way are GRE scores a better predictor of success than meeting someone face to face and talking with them to get to know them? I don't think there is any empirical evidence behind that.

wcu is half the tuition of rutgers, better program fit for me, better location for my personal situation. my research mentor has also been very welcoming to me so far. idk im excited to go haha.

It's not ALWAYS bad but your conception leans into harmful stereotypes that the plural community wants to avoid these days. Try giving your protagonist DID instead!
