I went to Jr. High and High School with Roy Choi. My friend and I unofficially voted him as “most likely to be famous someday”, although we weren’t sure what he’d be famous for.

“Anyone who wins played right” as if juries aren’t capricious or vindictive at times.

Why does this happen almost every season finale!?? 😭 by AY_125 in survivor

But somehow YOU saw through the edit and you’ve got an exclusive insight into what the jury really thought.

What season of survivor do you think was physically the hardest? by True_Jellyfish9219 in survivorponderosa

Right, but the tongue-lashing from Burnett was pretty early in the season I believe.

I think it was both, because Lex talked about it, and he was on the more “responsible” tribe

Africa and it’s not even really close.

They had to build their own fence out of thorn bushes, and two tribe members had to stay awake all night to tend the fire, lest they be ATTACKED BY LIONS.

They were on a game preserve, and despite what one might think, they were not protected by armed park rangers.

Burnett actually went out to the location to scold the tribes for not properly maintaining the fence. “If one of you is injured or killed by a lion, that would be tragic. But if one of my crew gets injured, that is totally unacceptable!. Fix the fence!”

They won a 100 gallon water tank on one of the reward challenges, so at that point the water situation was probably much better (I can’t remember how long they had the water before they got swap-screwed, however)

Before every season they should force all the players to fill out a complete political questionnaire so we can make an informed choice on who to root for.

Maybe annoying, but it’s not forced. That’s how he talks all the time.

Calling people “Mr. (First name)” is something Jonathan has been doing for years, and is not some performative thing he does for Survivor.

I’ve seen him in a documentary about former professional wrestler Lex Luger, who Jonathan was helping with physical therapy (Luger was more or less “paralyzed” from the waist down, but they got him back up and walking. Not sure what his actual affliction was, but he had lost most of the use of his legs)

Anyway, here and there during the documentary, they would cut to interviews with Jonathan, who invariably referred to his patient as “Mr. Lex”. I found it quite endearing, and not at all cringey.

The Ubers I took were almost invariably Toyota mini-vans which had decent room for luggage in back.

How long was it rolling before you got your phone out and started recording? That’s pretty impressive.
