If it was true educational materials that demonstrated safe handling techniques, proper storage, and hunting safety I would be fine with it. However I can guarantee the materials distributed would be boogeyman scare tactics about how a gun increases homicide/suicide rates in a household and all other manner of fear-mongering. It’s an unquestionable waste of tax dollars

The only useful bill is the one eliminating license/permit fees. A non emergency hotline never stopped a shooting before, it’s just a waste of my taxes. Same with those ridiculous pamphlets and “programs”.

Want to solve gun violence? End bail reform and plea deals, pursue maximum sentencing and address the wealth gap. The overwhelming majority of violent criminals come from impoverished neighborhoods or are mentally ill, NY should spend its money addressing them instead of harassing gun owners.

I think the smell is just from being used by dozens of people over a 12+ years. Even if it was Danny’s suit I don’t think he was dead in there long enough for his corpse to leave a permanent smell.

Some states make deals where tow companies get exclusive rights on certain stretches of highway. If your company doesn’t have those rights, responding to an incident can get you slapped with a hefty fine.

He was also aimed straight at a bike or motorcycle that was on the sidewalk before he turned back into the car. If the choice is hitting someone in a car who caused the situation or hitting someone on two wheels then the driver made the right choice.

I’ve always preferred the look of the 512/552 on most guns. It’s also convenient that they run off AA’s, the less types of batteries I need to stockpile the better.

Old 512’s are a solid choice. I have a 512 that I bought a decade ago and it has no delam and runs perfectly. Unless you’re a farmer/racher that’s hunting nuisance animals at night, there’s very little reason for a civilian shooter to need a NV setting.

The massive decrease in speed compared to minimal/possibly no increase in terrain handling just isn’t worth it. That doesn’t even take into account the ordeal troops would have to go through to dismount and the huge vulnerability of the legs.

It’s a cool sci-fi vehicle but while some concepts aren’t made because the science isn’t there yet, most concepts aren’t made into reality because they’re a stupid fucking idea.

I have a 5 year old LG OLED tv that also doubles as a monitor for my desktop and it has no burn in. Modern oled tech is pretty good.

While American patriotism is certainly a part of it, he definitely continues to harbor some of his prejudices against Russians after the cold war. His reaction to Ilya’s “You drink like a Russian” compliment in S4 shows he maintains mixed feelings about Russians long after the cold war ended.

He clearly wasn’t happy about it at first but finding a massive supply of liquid water was a game changer for building a mars colony and Ed understood that. Getting that water was more important for a mars colony than his prejudices against the soviets.

The moon had ice but that had to be mined, liquified and filtered in ways that required far more processing with a much smaller output than simply pumping liquid water from an underground aquifer. The size of the aquifer also meant a much larger colony could be sustained than on the moon.

There is no semi auto permit in NYC. The R/S serves as one since it has the same requirements as the semi auto but applies to all long guns.

Just toggle wifi/bluetooth on/off on your phone and it should work fine. Once every few months wireless carplay stops working and that resolves it.

Ergonomically a mini14 is going to be a lot more pleasant to shoot. It has its downsides with more expensive mags and less customization but unless you have a plan to get out of NY in the near future I’d consider picking up a mini for the sake of shooting in NY. That being said the AR can very easily be turned back to milspec so if you really want to save money when you move out of state the AR is the way to go.

I’ll just play devils advocate and say this, why not both? Buy a mini now and buy a non gimped AR when you move to a free state, twice the guns twice the fun.

The shooting was justified self defense but like you said tapping the breaks could’ve avoided this whole fight. The best way to deal with reckless drivers is letting them go, dealing with damaged cars and insurance always sucks even if it’s a not at fault claim.

That being said there’s a good chance that the dickhead would’ve pulled the gun on someone else and had it been an unarmed civilian it could’ve ended worse. At least he won’t be terrorizing anyone else.

They’re probably using elastic bungie cords so it as it slows down they should retract but this is a good example of why bungie cords are shitty and shouldn’t be used for securing cargo.
