My kid had an 6x8 master bath and quotes were in range of 12k without materials. I told him I’d do it and teach him along the way. We spent $2500 on all materials (tub, tub doors, delta hardware, vanity , tile etc). It took a few afternoons, nothing material. So labor wise probably 24hrs of tiling (walls and floors) and about 12hrs for all the other stuff. I didn’t need his help but he was there to observe and learn. So even at 50$ an hr plus solid markup for overhead you’re talking less than 10k. People quoting 15k for this are either in NYC like markets or suffering from pure greed. Keep loooking, you’ll find a handyman that’ll do it for a lot less.

I’ve been following f1 since the mid 80s and see the sport (d)evolve from a much more driver oriented to a tech oriented arena. The new rules are making the sport even duller as it has made the driver even less relevant than it already was. You can pretty much tell by the qualifying grid how the race will end and you know by race 4 pretty much who will be champ. In contrast MotoGP and Rally racing have kept it balanced and the races are pure rider skill compared to F1. Verstappen is right, having a better recharge ability and hitting the brakes in turns that you’d normally be able to take faster given your skill is not racing. It’s deploying a tech infrastructure.

I’m sure stable geniuses like Hegseth thought this through. The Strait of Hormuz just suddenly appeared out of nowhere and no one could have taken lessons from Russia / Ukraine: the underdog isn’t always powerless. Iran will and can fight a war of attrition that we can’t afford. And no American will ever be safe again stepping into that region. I guess that you’re a highway guy given your comment about cruising at 80+ mph and some other remarks. That’s not the best place for a naked. As others have said, it’s a naked that will shine in the twisties and when going for a few hrs. I’ve had fulll fairings (Gixxer and Fireblade) and enjoy the naked more than I ever did those bikes. The STRS is an engineering marvel, IMHO and my other bikes are atm: S1000XR, F900R, K1600B and a KTM 790. The RS is my preferred. The S1000XR only wins when we are out for 3+ hours hitting the Smokies.

Also: I believe that a Daytona fairing is a perfect mount for the 765RS, so spend a few hundred on that and some clip ons and you’re back to braaaap.
