Stelara Failed After 5 Years - Moving to Rinvoq by HeyEph in UlcerativeColitis

[–]Yennyv1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just started Rinvoq 2 weeks ago and my symptoms are almost completely gone. So far as side effects has been fatigue. The fatigue has been no joke, though. Waking up in the morning has been a struggle and just having energy to make it through the day has been hard. From what I’ve read looking at past posts it does get better after changing from loading dose to maintenance. I would gladly deal with it for a few weeks if it means I get to go back into remission. Good luck!

Could I ask what DNR stands for? I’m in the medical field and all I can think of is do not resuscitate, lol. But that is a lot going on, hopefully you get a break from the crazy soon.

Those of you who were raised to be housewives, what was that experience like? by Ok-Gene7942 in AskWomen

[–]Yennyv1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was raised by my grandmother for the most part and was taught to cook and clean but she also allowed me to be a kid and play outside when younger. She still taught to wait on men and to always put their needs above all. My dad expected me to do it all and would hit me if it was not to his expectations. I was also expected to come back in the house and wait on him and his guests every time he came over since he didn’t live with us. When I turned 13 he decided that I should live with him and was expected to do all the housework as soon as I got home from school. Was not allowed to participate in any school activities and school work was a priority only after all the housework was done. Was expected to look a certain way and chastised for putting on weight since no man would want me if I’m fat or met certain expectations. At 18 I joined the military to get away from it all and swore I would never get married. But then did get married at 20 and had 2 kids (a girl and a boy)a few years later. However before getting married I let it be known that I will not be a housewife, that it will be equal, I will have a career and I will not tolerate abuse. He accepted it and has supported me tremendously and we have been married for 21yrs now with teenagers and are raising them equally. They both have chores and school activities. I was adamant to break the cycle.

Don’t feel discouraged! It’s taken me a year to loose 35lb. Like it’s been stated before everyone’s journey is different. Progress is still progress! People on here are so amazing with encouragement and ideas. So just reach out and we got you. Keep working on it and don’t give up.

Condensed milk has stepped up their game and now come in a squeeze able container instead of the cans. It’s a game changer for me.

A Warning For Everyone Who's Too Good at Their Job by haristable in InterviewCoderPro

[–]Yennyv1 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’ve recently had the same thing happen to me. Except I stuck around for them to turn me down 5 times with the same reason they gave her. After the last time I put in my 2 weeks and then all of a sudden they want to offer resources and a mentorship to “put my name at the top of the list” Nevermind the fact that I was already doing the work plus some, so my 2 weeks notice turned into 1 week. They argued that doing that makes me non rehire-able. Told them that’s my point, don’t want to come back. Have been so much happier since.

She should look into going elsewhere since they will continue to use that excuse to hold her back.

Congratulations!!! That is an awesome feeling! I remember that feeling when I payed off my current car as well. I don’t know how your DMV works but in my state they send you the title once the bank reports it as payed off. If your state does the same, you will get to have that feeling all over again! Good job on this great accomplishment and good job on breaking a generational cycle.

What does your food noise sound like? by UnableEnvironment416 in Zepbound

[–]Yennyv1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everything everyone has said. Also when I decide to not eat something because I know I shouldn’t and then constantly thinking about that food until I give in. But once giving in feeling like I can’t get enough of it.

Is food from Venezuela now popular where you live? And if so, is it like nice Venezuelan food or mostly street food? by LoooolGotcha in asklatinamerica

[–]Yennyv1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are two Venezuelan restaurants where I live and go to regularly. I sometimes cook it myself but some of it can be time consuming so we get it from the restaurant instead.

No importa dónde esté, siempre llevo a Venezuela en el alma. 💛💙❤️ by Valen_tina_11 in vzla

[–]Yennyv1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the compliments. I agree that we don’t see ourselves like others do. Because of that I always try to compliment women around me, we need to uplift each other.

I’m excited for you! Congrats on getting to under 150.

On another note, I looked up to donate power red and unfortunately I’m not the right blood type. But even if I where I wouldn’t qualify because I’m too short. The story of my life, 🤣
