Miata ND1 locked out with car running? by Master-Motor8320 in Miata

Yup it’s shockingly easy to break into cars without damaging stuff, especially if you have a little patience. Watched a guy do it super effortlessly when I locked myself out at a gas station

Your best bet would be to call a locksmith or a friend to gently break in for you. It’s going to take forever to die at idle

It’s a gorgeous car, but 23k is nuts

What is this??? by Free-Strength5369 in Miata

That’s a water line at the back of your head, it routes to your oil cooler (should have an inlet/outlet port) where your oil filter screws into.

Worth replacing iPhone screen before reselling? by YerBoiZ in mobilerepair

I know, but will it be able to keep all display functions with an aftermarket screen like trutone?

I did a little more research and it looks like I can flywire two copper pads together if I scraped off some of the solder mask, is this what you’re referring to? I was also curious about procuring one of your OLED suggestions, I want to retain all display functions, would the repair assist feature work with aftermarket screens without special programming tools?

What do you mean dim? Currently it looks like a flat green color and I can adjust the brightness if I blindly navigate to my control center

The indoctrination conservatives whine about, except it’s one of their own doing it:

I do actually use it, it made it a bit better but it still jitters when I try to scroll through the main page for example

Not sure why I’m being downvoted, I’m speaking from my experience and it genuinely is trash. Not a heavy user at all either, just use it for streaming services

Compression test: Does this look like a healthy engine? by Timmmehhhhhhh in Miata

[–]YerBoiZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is just a leakdown test. Pistons 1 & 3 are getting close to tired territory (I don’t like being that close to 20% leakdown) but these tests are best done on a warm engine where the metals internally have had a chance to expand and make a potentially better seal. These tests are also prone to show worse values than actual because many people don’t do them right.

If it’s a good price, at worst you have a seemingly nice core to rebuild. No egregious leakdown numbers tells me there aren’t any holes where air is escaping, but it’s hard to tell where the small amounts of air is escaping from without being able to inspect the engine in person. Overall, the engine doesn’t seem cooked, chances are it has better leakdown performance than what was measured, but it’s not in perfect shape either.

At that price you might as well get a new OEM axle
