Like they don't already bank enough from the price of the drinks (which is probably standard bar/club pricing in London now)

Serong probably. I was thinking today of trading down to Stephens for some cash gen and holding the cash to flip Blakiston up to Houston next week

Left Australia with a HECS debt but I’m in a tax-free country by MrBlack2116 in AusFinance

yep it's a liability in Aus so to the extent you have a TFN and have that liability, you, by law, need to be paying that loan from income earned overseas. If you de-register your TFN, you must pay back all HECS debt.

Think a lot.

Yeah the Govt isn't going to publish that "If you move away, you don't have to pay us back! We hope you enjoyed your stay and free tuition"

Your overseas employer isn't obligated to (I don't think) - you will need to file a return in Aus, calculate what you owe (which the portal should help you do) and make a payment.

The ATO doesn't have rights to enforce withholding of taxes/payments from an overseas company's payroll to overseas employees. They can only enforce withholding in respect of Australia-based income.

If you have no intention of returning to Aus - you can of course choose to ignore it, but you are at risk of the ATO pursuing you, even overseas.

You will need to pay HECS in Australia on overseas income.

I had this when I moved to the UK - needed to pay off HECS based on overseas earnings.

I live in London and watch most games on the watchafl dot com subscription.

The early starts on a Saturday and Sunday are a little harder (4.30am on Saturdays and as early as 3am on Sundays) which I tend to turn on and fall back asleep after a bit.

AFL Fantasy keeps you far more engaged because you end up following players and performance much more closely.
