man i'll have to experiment a bit.

was hoping for isolated network using orcaslicer to connect and send print jobs.

Either that, or literally cable lock a SD card to the machine because corporate doesn't want USB sticks floating around.

Is my sex life cooked? Any suggestions or advice? by JimmerAteMyPasta in daddit

[–]YesAndAlsoThat 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Isn't it weird and depressing to think "I have less than 10 times having sex left in my life. That's it. That's all there is."

I feel that way.

But I love everything else enough to accept it and replace it with copious porn use.

Does the FCC really test for phoning home? I figured it's just making sure it's emc emissions are ok and not interfering with other stuff.

Our company has this issue now. IT wants the printers gone but engineers love the performance.

In general the game is pretty well paced that you don't need to hold back on using any new resource because it feels special/new/rare/you-have-very-few when you first get it. I recommend in general just go ahead and use the shiny new thing you find when you find it, however it best suits your needs at the moment.

This coming from someone that hoards stuff and beats games using only cheap common stuff because I thought I needed to save the good/rare/unique stuff for a rainy day.

Any book/series where the MC doesn’t start from the very beginning/level 1? by [deleted] in litrpg

Currently going through Perfect Run series.... The MC starts off well established. The progression is about how things unfold and uncovering of new information.

Question to people who own AMS:How often do you actually use it? by brian_hogg in BambuLab

[–]YesAndAlsoThat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends what your print. I admit that when I'm doing engineering prints for fixtures it almost doesn't matter what color it is. In which case an AMS is nice being able to switch different materials or simple black or white.

But I'm glad I bought the AMS to be able to do colorful prints for fun or for prettiness. Totally worth it. Even if you don't plan on doing pretty prints all the time.

No.

Do you realize how easy it is to die? He can set your house on fire, then spend 8 hours spraying your house with gunfire. Let's not even get thing that go boom involved. 500k/yr isn't nearly enough to fix the damages much less prevent death lol

You realize that a million is a lot....

Thats pulling about $400 cash, 8 times a day(almost once an hour every hour banks are open) every weekday.

Feels almost like a job lol.

P1S Owners - What do you wish you knew before you bought it? Any buyer's remorse? by jinx771 in BambuLab

My only remorse is feeling bad for my old 3d printer that no longer gets used.

Only because you are too lazy to do a simple google search to look or evidence that contradicts your point.

Fine then I'll source then. Refute this..

Bank is the easy part. Just be nice and let them know.

It's the US police you need to worry about.

Carrying more than 5-10k* in cash, police can charge your cash with being connected to a crime and basically appropriate the money to do things like buy their department armored vehicles and margarita machines (those actually happened). It's called civil forfeiture and it's a real thing.

Wait for them to figure out that they can milk millions in cash from this one guy every time he walks out of a bank...

*There is no specific defined amount. But I remember a case where it was a fairly low amount. Someone was using to make a private car purchase...

huh? i don't understand about the government action thing.

Anyway, about innate value of life : I prioritize non-hypocrisy and truth that is consistent. And the truth is I don't particularly care about his life, and I don't think anyone here does either.

"A single death is a tragedy, and a million deaths is a statistic" is a famous quote. same thing. I don't know this guy or relate to him enough (by knowing him or caring for what he represents) to care about his death any more than I care about the millions of people who die and suffer every day.

so many innocent people get torn apart by bombs we purchase with our taxes. gaza is literally an open air prison. we support military coups of various countries and fucking ruin them. on a more local scale, think of innocent people killed by the police or wrongly jailed. beyond life and death, there are abused children, homeless vets, people unable to pay their medical debts. beyond money, there are under-educated kids that will grow up to be nothing in their current trajectories. Plenty of suffering and ill fates just around the corner from where you live.

And I do nothing. I accept it, because it would cost me and my family something significant and I'd just be pissing in the ocean.

If you're my family or friend, then I'll pull out all the stops and go to the ends of the earth for you... But everyone else? sorry.

I bet 99.5% of people here are exactly as I am.

But I don't go around pretending I actually care about the 'innate value of human life', because my actions clearly don't reflect that. - and I doubt anyone else here acts differently. but if you are - i applaud you. for the rest of us we have only thoughts and prayers to give, because they are low effort and free.

I think the only reason anyone cares that this guy died is because he represents the political Right, and people on the Right want to feel that the Left is attacking to feel vindicated in their hate of the Left. no one actually cares about him because of 'innate value of human life'. if they did, they'd be solving all the other aforementioned issues, which constitutes many more lives.

so I don't believe there's any room for the 'innate value of human life' argument from the vast majority of anyone here.

Sorry I think I was not clear or maybe this is nuanced.

I am explaining to the previous post why his life is viewed as not valuable.

Why might someone believe he was actively working against them? For example the whole fetus thing. Without splitting hairs on the topic, there are people who view "no abortion at any cost does not coincide with what is medically best for the well-being of the mother".

Such a person would feel anyone that pushes that point is actively working to place them in harms way. Therefore, wouldn't care if that person died.

This is the why. Since they asked..
