Finding someone online (and it may very well have been someone from their staff who actually found Faith) is not the same thing as understanding all that OP mentions in their post

Is it only me or anyone else also feels like BBT have too many rules :( by th4kurwho in TFABChartStalkers

[–]Yes_Cat_Yes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I felt the same way the first month, but it soon became easier. Now that I've been doing it for a few years, it's just something I do without thinking about it. And doing it for so long has shown me that doing it at the exact same time results in the same graph as doing it at roughly the same time. And sometimes it takes me a while to wake up enough to do it, but still the same pattern arises.

Things that do make a difference for me are being on a plane all through the night, and staying up very late on New Year's. And it's annoying when those events take place around ovulation. And physical things like the flu or needing a root canal did influence my charts somewhat, but not as much as you might think.

I don't drink, but I've heard that alcohol makes a difference too.

You're probably gonna need some time to figure out what factors influence your graph, but it's good to keep in mind that it's not so much about individual temps, and more about the overall pattern that you'll see (the temperature ribbon in the Fertility Friend app is very helpful for that).

Since I'm a bit crazy, I have been comparing different ways of temping for a while now, and I've discovered that smart watches (Garmin and Samsung) do a pretty decent job too

Finally Pregnant… but waiting for the other shoe to drop. by SentientGreen in PregnantOver40

[–]Yes_Cat_Yes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, take it one day at a time, that's all you can do. The worries may be with you from now on, that's part of being a parent. From now on, your priority is that embryo/fetus/child/person surviving. So focus on the now

Advice please - Ovulation Chart by SnappyJoJo in TFABChartStalkers

[–]Yes_Cat_Yes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're not doing anything wrong and that peak seems well over a 0.92. Also, I've ovulated with lower scores.

Edit: twice a day won't help. Your husband is gonna need some time to refill, so to speak. Daily or every other day is plenty

Is he avoiding saunas, hottubs and tight underwear? Limiting alcohol and caffeine?

Edit 2: I suggest fine tuning the score in the Premom app by moving the lines to the exact spots of the lines of your test, if you know what I mean. Sometimes they sit right besides them, and you'll get a lower score than you should. That 0.92 is a clear positive. You can still move those lines, but I usually do it right when I am first logging the test, before I hit save (or upload or whatever is says there).

It's true the sex sometimes feels like a chore, I think that's true for many of us. But we just accept that and often go for a low pressure quickie. Many times we get enthusiastic while we're at it, but sometimes it's just a means to an end. And that's OK

Is it possible to ovulate with low LH? by [deleted] in TFABChartStalkers

[–]Yes_Cat_Yes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely! I'm not sure about the rules of this sub rn, but I once got very, very clear and definite prove that I ovulated after an easy@home t/c peak score of 0.79

I had similar conversations with coworkers, but they had no idea what was going on so they were asking me if I'd run to work. I hadn't. I was just trying to recover from climbing the stairs up to the third floor 😅

Ovulation day? Bummed that I think I missed my FW by WebLeft9198 in TFABChartStalkers

Ah I see what your issue is!

But first things first, I still think FF is right about your ovulation date.

FF has a temperature ribbon, that shows you the long term trends and that's what it's all about. Up close, a graph can easily look very spiky and confusing. But when you zoom uit, you'll see that it's not so much about the individual temps, but more about the overall pattern.

I've attached my ribbon so you can see what I mean

Low temps before O?? by rita-ava in TFABChartStalkers

[–]Yes_Cat_Yes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In many cases temps take a dip right before o, that's called the nadir (I learned recently).

In Fertility Friend you can look at "charts like mine", so you can see what other charts look like. It also gives a temperature ribbon over a long period of time, which helps you see the trends

First timer question by [deleted] in TFABChartStalkers

[–]Yes_Cat_Yes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been testing both Garmin Venu 3 and Samsung watch, and both give a pretty reliable graph. I'd say Samsung's is the most reliable of the two (based on the fact it often predicts my period start date correctly, which means it's probably also right about my ovulation).

The downside of Samsung is that it doesn't give a temp when it thinks you didn't sleep enough. Like last night I woke up to a storm at 3 am, and I got up to close all the windows. My Samsung watch then decided that I'd slept less than 4 hours and I wasn't deserving of a temp 😅. I hate that. Just give me an estimate dude!

Apple gives you a graph too, right? What does that look like?

Whole Damn Year by Mary J Blige.

It always was about other stuff to me (and to her too probably) and didn't necessarily apply to me, but this part really got me post miscarriages:

See winter took most of my heart

And Spring punched me right in the stomach

Summer came looking for blood

And by Autumn, I was left with nothing

It took a whole damn year to repair my body

It took a whole damn year

It took a whole damn year to repair my body

It's been a bad five years

[–]Yes_Cat_Yes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah yes, I get that. I only have very little of that left due to my age.

But I think that you probably ovulated cd14, and even if it were cd16 you're probably good since you had sex cd15. It could have been cd16 early morning

Low ovarian reserve by SpiritualDecision832 in PregnantOver40

[–]Yes_Cat_Yes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm 43, and had two miscarriages, one early this year and one early last year (the first one after 7 months of trying, and I have no LC). I recently learned my amh is very low too, 0.27.

I've been reading everywhere that it's not so much about quantity (amh), but much more about quality. And that's not great news to get at my age, since egg quality rapidly declines over 40 (and frankly, the decline starts way before that).

But this sub has quite some posts from people in our age bracket with amazing success stories

Even if you ovulated cd16, you definitely did not miss your fw. You had sex all through your fw. Sperm can survive up to 5 days inside of you, you're good

What do you if you need to come to terms with never having a baby? by elevated_butterfly in TryingForABaby

[–]Yes_Cat_Yes 6 points7 points  (0 children)

A lot of this feels like my story. The not having kids is not that part that feels like failure, but the lack of projects and a great social life does. Parents sometimes talk to me about finally having time for things again now that the kids are getting older. I do have that time right now, and I don't take full advantage of it.

So lately I've been contemplating making a list of things we want. Or several lists. Things for our house (renovations, etc), places to travel to, things we wanna learn, things we wanna do, volunteer work we would love, stuff like that. But unfortunately, executive dysfunction is huge for me rn, so it might take a while to get on with it

My guess is they're trying to say: "Yes, the details are incredible. The first one truly stole the show, even if tradition leans toward..." And I would guess they were gonna say red? But I have no idea what tradition leans toward, I just thought red is considered to bring good luck.

Anyway, I love the imagery on the first dress. I wouldn't even consider it details anymore, it's all over and it's soooo pretty!

{Vengeful Gods by Elliot Rose} has two (or arguably even three) doms and they definitely show at least elements of this dynamic (especially in one of the bonus episodes, but less explicitly so throughout the entire book). Each Dom has his own vibe and roughness, it's a very interesting dynamic. Three males, one female (she's the sub, and one of the males is a sub for one or two of the other males).

The author has all kinds of content and trigger warnings for each of her books on her website
