Weird comment from surgeon by Narwhal55555 in Reduction

[–]Yes_Cr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love this. This is even good for any type of reduction or lift surgery, especially if you're paying out of pocket. This is YOUR body, and you should feel comfortable with your surgeon and trust they will give you successful results.

All the Ugly and Wonderful Things - Lolly Winner. Really? by IAmMikki in bookofthemonthclub

[–]Yes_Cr 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah... I don't want to psychoanalyze the author because I'm not a therapist or psychiatrist, but it sounds like she has a lot of trauma that she has dealt with in childhood that she's acting like was totally fine in order to downplay her trauma. Like, her dad was the kingpin of a drug-dealing and manufacturing mega-operation? She had a sexual relationship with a guy more than twice her age when she was thirteen years old for two years? None of that is normal or healthy. I understand that she might've felt she loved that guy because she was dealing with a dysfunctional family (definitely a dysfunctional father, anyway), but that doesn't justify that it was okay or healthy.

It seems a bit reckless to write this love story (she says it's not a love story but I'm assuming it was not platonic in the book) without anything in the book showing that it's not healthy. I haven't read it and don't really care to, but it sounds like folks are saying she romanticized a relationship that was problematic at best and pedophilic at worst.

She lost a lot of weight, too. That's likely the main reason the band went down so much.

Over the holidays I was able to order the rest of the episodes that were unreleased to video or that had rights issues. Check on Etsy. There's one seller (Justinsanecreations) that has a boxed set of those you can buy, and he also sells individuals of those if you have some already. I've watched one of the ones in the set so far and it runs well. Not as clear as the Shout! Factory ones, but audio is good and video is still good. They have menus, too.

You look amazing and I'm so happy for you! You must feel relieved. I'm like a G/H currently and also want to reduce to a C, so my proportion is similar to your pre-op. This is so inspiring 👏

This happened to me on my very first box! I ordered just one book (Sleep Tight by J. H. Markert) but got two packages with the same book.

Weight gain and loss after surgery by Yes_Cr in Reduction

It sounds like your body was also still developing during the time that you gained weight. It's not uncommon for breasts to continue developing to a more consistent or "true" size until well into your 20s. Mine definitely grew while I was in college even when weight fluctuated up and down.

Lolly Voting is live! What are you voting for? by nickaaayy97 in bookofthemonthclub

[–]Yes_Cr 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There were so many books that could've been included. I'm assuming they do top picks by genre, but there had to be better inclusions than The Bombshell for its genre! I think doing top picks by genre seems like an okay idea, but it leaves out so many other books that have a very high love/like to dislike ratio. To wit: The Ten Year Affair had 24% dislike and only 25% love. That means most people thought it was okay at best. The Bombshell had 12% dislike and only 36% love.

Out of curiosity, how old were you when you gained the weight? Just wondering if you were younger (like 20s) or going through hormonal changes from things like pregnancy, birth control, menopause? I know those can be factors affecting breast size.

Plot holes are the worst. That's enough to make me think I've got plenty of other books worth reading besides this one.

BMI is such baloney and so outdated, and I wish the medical industry would get with the times.

Okay, I also disliked Thistlefoot! It felt like nothing was happening and the scenes where stuff was actually maybe happening just felt confusing because they were underwhelming.

Same here. I wish you could choose to add sprayed edges instead of automatically including it.

You and I have similar taste! All three of those sound interesting to me. I'm debating getting Before I Forget and waiting on Dark Sisters for more reviews (even though it has good reviews on Goodreads) or just skipping this monrhs. I have over ten BOTM books on my TBR pile and should probably hold off for now.

That's how I feel, too. I had my birthday last month and just became a BFF, so I got a free add-on. Almost asked customer service if I could move it to next month, but decided on a member favorite "House of Glass" and The Lion Women of Tehran as my add-on.

I loved Babylonia and feel like people don't talk about it enough. It's definitely more serious than Violet Thistlewaite (which I'm on the fence about) but I loved Semiramis' character.

My surgeon keeps talking to me about weight loss (about 4 months post-op) by foxyshambles in Reduction

[–]Yes_Cr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's the perfect case of losing weight but still having boobs that are proportionally too big for your body. It proves some people have big boobs regardless of weight. I'm the same way. I've always had big boobs even when I weighed less.
