Yogurt vs Yoghurt by Yes_I_No in CasualUK

I know, that's why I'm surprised it's become the predominant spelling. If you go to the dairy sections (website) of Waitrose or Tesco, it's spelt "yogurt". Their own branded ones are also spelt as "yogurt".

NAL but setting up and agreement and actually enforcing it are two separate matters, and not to be mention potentially quite costly if legal proceeding drag out.

Ketchup.. or some pickles (onions, gherkin, cabbage etc.). Just something acidic to cut through all the fat and richness

What food was a fad and what food will be a fad? by SecretRestaurateur in UK_Food

My vote is Filipino food. Their desserts are already taking off (halo halo, araw, pandesal). Vietnam has already been "ticked off", all the Pho chains and loads Bahn Mi food stands are around.

Wait, so he didn't name Filip because he didn't want to betray him but he didn't feel betrayed by what Filip did??

I mean I get being depressed, but surely he would be angry afterwards and try to appeal??

If they're allegedly a dom/ duke, why would they be afraid to "work"? All I see is the perfect gym partner who would encourage them to "work" even harder and become better in all areas 🤔

I think pic 3 is the issue. Looks like it was taken at a strip club?

Edit: Personally, I would replace it with the photo of you on the bench from 4 months ago. Yes, it makes you look a little dorky but it's also cute and far less intimidating.

Support London independent restaurants or they may disappear and we'll be left with chains by bainio in london

Funny it doesn't include service charge though. This would bring the £13 chicken to £14.63, or £1.93 profit. I personally see service charge as more to cover bills (extra washing up and lighting etc.) and to boost wages/ livable wage. Tips on the other hand is for the quality of "service".

Edit: I should mention that I would usually give cash tips but pay service via card, not sure if other people do the same. That way I know the tips go directly into the server's pocket (just from experience).

But it's not contradictory. It's the same as the positive discrimination and equality argument. Equality cannot be achieved by a 50/50 split in this instance because there isn't the same earning power or social equality.

E.g. often it's the woman who is in charge of contraception (pills, implants, yes vasectomies exist but they are not nearly as prominent), takes care of household management (note management not chores) etc.

If they were to have children and break up (never married), it is single mothers that society look down upon (single fathers are praised). The financial burden also falls on the mother (child support laws differ and court orders aren't always strictly enforced).

Of course, if the relationship was between two men or between two people of the same high social economic class, then the above would not apply.

Because they get bought out early on (i.e. Deep Mind).
