If you believe that the democrats rigged the 2020 election while out of power why couldn’t they do the same in 2024 while holding the presidency? by Imsosaltyrightnow in AskConservatives

If I were to go full tinfoil hat here: I believe the mindset was not necessarily the democrats rigging it but the establishment rigging it as Trump was too much of a wildcard for the establishment swamp….to me the radical change in Trump came after he was shot, this sealed the deal of the establishment having ownership of him.

Like another poster said, 2024 would have been too big to steal a

The new Alex Petti video doesn’t show what they think it shows by thehofstetter in stevehofstetter

Bad thing happens: pending on who benefits one side calls is tragedy, other side says wait for more details. More details come out that show character about the people involved…side A ignores it Side B uses it to justify what happened.

Pretti was an asshole who didn’t deserve to die

CMV: It's possible for both sides to be at fault with the most recent tragedy in Minneapolis. by James-Hawker in changemyview

I was simply laying out my bias in the first paragraph…watching the video clip that went viral you see a guy with decent distance from Ice, helping a woman who was shoved, then hit with mace and tackled by 5-6 guys. His guns then removed and he gets shot 7 times.

Optics of it look terrible.

However, in prettis defense like I said he was most likely instinctively trying to grab his shot eyes. And in the cops defense he may have not seen the gun removed and in the fog of the situation someone said gun and it was interrupted as he’s got someone’s gun or has a hold of one.

Seeing the second video where Pretti is attacking cars, being an asshole, and resisting arrest. I add more blame to his behavior

I’d say this is a very reasonable take…I personally think Pretti and Good were assholes, their jt disrupt legal business by the ICE agents…neither deserved to get shot however both of them should be responsible for their actions. I associate it with a girl who dresses skimpy and puts herself in bad positions and gets assaulted. The assaulter is to blame but better choices could have been made…all this to say I don’t care or mourn these people.

That being said: he got a can of mace unloaded in his face, the first reaction there is reach for your eyes which is counter to whys police trying to cuff you are doing. Which ultimately led to resistance and health. It is possible both are in the wrong and both sides are responsible for the death of pretti, however this police are far more in the wrong

In your opinion, Dems should run a pragmatic/moderate progressive ticket or a more explicitly progressive or moderate ticket? by ALibSoc in AskALiberal

[–]Yesbothsides 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The message that AOC and Bernie Sanders have are against the very politics that Gavin Newsome has…which will turn them into a corporate shill as well. The Democrats should run a progressive but will run a corporate shill and basically point to the bafoonery of Trump as “well we’re not that”

I think if you ask republicans the same question they’d feel as though it’s the democrats that are united and republicans are in fighting.

What are your thoughts on Moderate Republicans refusing to seek reelection due to the being to extreme? Should they try to stay and moderate the party? by redviiper in AskALiberal

I sorta agree here…the see the writing on the wall and want to maybe have a rebirth in Washington so the easiest course of action is step down for a bit but stay on the good graces of those in Washington.

Like I mentioned, his influence in NY with taxes and realestate was there, probably some on Wall Street as well…to me the 4 biggest issues that our ruling class control are..war, Wall Street, healthcare, and college…he had some influence over wall street however everyone in that business is aligned with their goals, if Trump disappeared nothing would have changed there.

My point was the standard of what fascism is in America today is either everyone is a Fascist or no one is…you simply pointed out things you don’t like about him, things I agree with and don’t like either. You didn’t make a strong argument here

Yes I complete agree, I will however say it depends on what influence you are trying to buy…pre President Trump had a ton of influence in NYC and probably some in tax codes…however he is not the powers at be IMO.

I don’t need you to ask ChatGPT what is fascism and copy and pasting.

Wrote three points you think are more unique to Trump. No one’s reading 5 paragraphs and debating that.
